FX LANDS BOX OFFICE HITS TO CLOSE OUT 2011

Network Closes Deals for the Commercial Television Premieres of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and We Bought a Zoo

FX Prime Movies Posted +21% Ratings Growth in 2011

LOS ANGELES, January 5, 2012 - Solidifying its status as basic cable's leading destination for movies, FX closed out 2011 by signing deals for the commercial television premieres of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and We Bought a Zoo, announced Chuck Saftler, Executive Vice President, FX Networks.

Other late season releases picked up by FX were The Sitter, Puss in Boots, Real Steel, Immortals, Paranormal Activity 3, and A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas.

FX's 2011 film acquisitions will debut on the network beginning in 2013 and early in 2014.

"We landed 19 films that grossed more than $100 million representing two-thirds of all films that topped that mark, which was by far our best year ever," said Saftler. "Our film library is deeper, stronger and more diverse than ever across all genres. Our movie line-up has been a key primetime ratings driver, and it continues to provide an outstanding lead-in platform for our original series."

It was another banner year for FX as the network secured the premiere rights to 12 of the top 20 box office hits, and 28 of the top 50 highest grossing films of 2011. In addition, 22 of those movies held the top spot at the box office 31 weeks of the year. In 2010, FX acquired 10 of the top 20 box-office hits, and 12 out of the top 20 in 2009.

Other top films acquired by FX in 2011 include The Hangover: Part II, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn-Part 1, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Green Lantern, X-Men: First Class, Super 8, Thor, The Green Hornet, Hall Pass, Bad Teacher, The Roommate, Battle: Los Angeles, Captain America, Just Go With It, The Green Hornet, Tron: Legacy, True Grit, and the animated movies Rio, Kung Fu Panda 2, Rango.

FX prime movies delivered outstanding ratings in 2011 posting increases of +21% in both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49 versus 2010.

FX is the flagship general entertainment basic cable network from Fox. Launched in June of 1994, FX is carried in more than 98 million homes. The diverse schedule includes a growing roster of critically acclaimed and award-winning hit dramas series including Sons of Anarchy and Justified, and acclaimed hit comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Louie, Archer and Wilfred.
