SUNDANCE CHANNEL GREENLIGHTS THIRD SEASON OF FASHION SERIES "ALL ON THE LINE WITH JOE ZEE"
Pasadena, CA - January 14, 2012 - Sundance Channel announced today it is renewing its hit fashion-rescue series "All On The Line with Joe Zee," for a third season. Starring Creative Director of ELLE Joe Zee, the series exposes viewers to the intense behind-the-scenes world of fashion design. In each episode, Zee encounters the challenging task of working with new designers - all in desperate need of help resuscitating their fashion line and protecting their livelihood. Season three of the series will include an all new set of struggling designers who will look to Zee protect their creative vision while helping them achieve commercial success. Not all designers will be up for the challenge of accepting Zee's opinions, causing tension and sparking emotion. With this series, there are no guaranteed happy endings.
"Sundance Channel programming has always hinged on telling authentic stories featuring real people and unpredictable results. The audience engagement and critical reception to this series told us that viewers can't get enough of the brilliant Joe Zee and we can't wait to watch him back in action for a third season," commented Sarah Barnett, Sundance Channel General Manager.
Season two of "All On The Line with Joe Zee" featured some of Joe's closest friends and industry colleagues helping him develop the designers, including Veronica Webb, Rachel Roy, Olivia Palermo, Adam Lambert, and Mark Badgley and James Mischka of Badgley Mischka. The designers seeking Joe's expertise included the well established Nicole Miller, who needed help revitalizing her line, and popular bridal atelier Angelo Lambrou, who found it nearly impossible to take Joe's advice. Those who took Joe's advice proved triumphant, with select designers selling their lines to Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus and Scoop; those unable to collaborate with Joe watched their businesses continue to slump. Next season, viewers can expect to see more of Zee's black-book of fashion insiders and influential industry friends, as he works to inspire and launch these designers, continuing to make dreams come true.
As Creative Director of ELLE since 2007, Zee has helped to elevate the publication into the successful fashion magazine that is today. He began his career at Allure Magazine and from there became the fashion director at W Magazine, then contributing editor for Details and Vanity Fair. He has also been the creative eye behind advertising campaigns for brands including DKNY, Perry Ellis, Kenneth Cole, Sean John, Banana Republic, H&M, Estee Lauder, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Chanel, Coty and others.
"All On The Line with Joe Zee" is produced by Authentic Entertainment. Additional information for "All On The Line with Joe Zee" is available at: www.sundancechannel.com/all-on-the-line/.
