"Real Vice: Miami" Premieres Wednesday, March 21 at 10 PM E/P on Investigation Discovery
"Come to Miami on vacation. Leave on probation." That's how one former Miami Beach Police chief described the era of crime that washed over the party city in the 1980s. Cocaine, cops, killers, and cash lined the streets in Miami's dark past, now revisited in Investigation Discovery's new series REAL VICE: MIAMI, premiering Wednesday, March 21 at 10 PM E/P.
Audiences know Miami for its beautiful people, tropical weather, and cultural crossroads, but what they'll come to learn from REAL VICE: MIAMI is that the city's reputation for being fast, loose and a little wild applies to local criminals as well.
The first episode, a drug bust goes wrong, a car chase creates havoc on the causeway, and a one-in-a-million gunshot takes the life of one of Miami's most respected police officers, Scott Rakow. Lead narcotics cop Tom Hunker, Miami reporter John O'Neill and killer Freddy Andrade describe the perfect storm of events that led to one of the most tragic stories in the history of Miami's law enforcement.
