Roller coasters promise a terrifying trip full of death-defying drops, spine-torqueing twists and stomach-churning inversions. Travel Channel's new original series "Insane Coaster Wars," premiering on Sunday, July 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes as part of the network's Destination Summer multi-platform programming event, is an adrenaline-pumping ride that pits some of the most extreme roller coasters in six different categories against each other, and invites viewers and thrill seekers to settle the battle once and for all: which ride is better? Each of the six weekly half-hour episodes features four coasters in a total of six different categories. Viewers have the chance to go online and vote for their favorites in each category; those winners will be revealed on air at the end of each episode. The special one-hour season finale airing Sunday, August 12 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT will count down the top ten coasters with the most votes! The event is all part of Destination Summer's mission to celebrate the fun and adventure of the summer season.
