LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- With the broadcast networks scrambling to assemble their 2012-13 season lineups this week, the inevitable question emerges: which nights on which networks need the most help?
Looking back at the current season, here is a list of the 10 nights with the largest year-to-year declines:
-29% - FOX Saturday (1.5 vs. 2.1)
-25% - NBC Tuesday (2.4 vs. 3.2)
-24% - The CW Monday (1.3 vs. 1.7)
-22% - FOX Sunday (3.6 vs. 4.6)
-22% - The CW Friday (0.7 vs. 0.9)
-17% - ABC Monday (2.9 vs. 3.5)
-17% - NBC Saturday (1.0 vs. 1.2)
-16% - CBS Sunday (3.2 vs. 3.8)
-15% - NBC Wednesday (1.7 vs. 2.0)
-15% - The CW Tuesday (1.1 vs. 1.3)
And conversely, here's the 10 nights with the largest year-to-year increases:
+43% - NBC Monday (3.0 vs. 2.1)
+38% - CBS Saturday (1.8 vs. 1.3)
+34% - NBC Sunday (5.1 vs. 3.8)
+20% - FOX Friday (1.8 vs. 1.5)
+18% - ABC Wednesday (3.3 vs. 2.8)
+14% - CBS Monday (4.0 vs. 3.5)
+9% - FOX Tuesday (3.5 vs. 3.2)
