"GLEE" STARS CORY MONTEITH AND NAYA RIVERA JOIN OXYGEN'S "THE GLEE PROJECT" AS SEASON TWO GUEST MENTORS
"The Glee Project" Season One Co-Winner Samuel Larsen Returns To His Roots as Guest Mentor
NEW YORK - May 30, 2012 - Oxygen's "The Glee Project" gains "Glee" guest mentors Samuel Larsen, Cory Monteith and Naya Rivera (June 12, June 19 and June 26, respectively). Hot off his season one win, Larsen will return to the set where it all began with "Dance-ability." Monteith will follow in an emotionally driven episode, "Vulnerability," which will focus primarily on bullying. Then, Rivera will help the contenders bring a spark to the screen with the theme of "Sexuality" for the fourth episode of the series. "The Glee Project" season two will premiere on Tuesday, June 5 at 10 PM ET/PT with Lea Michele as the first guest mentor.
On Tuesday, June 12, freshman winner Samuel Larsen will come back to the classroom for the same homework assignment he won last year, "Dance-ability." This time Larsen returns as the seasoned "Glee" star who plays Joseph Hart, exceeding his initial seven-episode win throughout the show's third season.
The following week, Tuesday, June 19, "Glee" veteran Cory Monteith will join "The Glee Project" for the "Vulnerability" episode. Centered on the topic of bullying, this episode will dive into the emotional insecurities of each contender. Monteith has been on "Glee" throughout the series run as Finn Hudson, the multi-talented athlete who broke the stereotypical high school mold by incorporating his passion for music with his love for football.
Naya Rivera, "Glee's" sassy but strong-willed and diverse Santana Lopez, will head to "The Glee Project" classroom on Tuesday, June 26 for "Sexuality" week. Tapping into her character's on-screen sensuality, Rivera helps the contestants explore their emotions and physical chemistry. Rivera is no stranger to the spotlight, and has been seen as one of "Glee's" leading ladies throughout the series run.
"The Glee Project" is produced by Ryan Murphy Television and Embassy Row with Ryan Murphy, Dante Di Loreto, Michael Davies and Shauna Minoprio serving as executive producers.
