June 7, 2012 (Burbank, Calif.) - A new edition of "America's Next Top Model," hosted by Tyra Banks, returns with new partners, new talent and a new judge - the viewer. Cycle 19 premieres with the first-ever "College Edition" on Friday, August 24 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) on The CW.
The women will battle it out to earn the prestigious title of "America's Next Top Model" and compete for a career-launching prize package that includes new partners Smashbox Cosmetics, Nine West and Nylon Magazine. The winner will receive prizes including: a fashion feature in Nylon Magazine, as well as $100,000 cash and campaigns with Nine West and Smashbox Cosmetics, in addition to a modeling contract with LA/NY Models and being named the face of "America's Next Top Model" perfume Dream Come True.
"America's Next Top Model" is bringing on top fashion talent this cycle. In addition to famed stylist Johnny Wujek as photo shoot creative consultant, known for his work with Katy Perry, the show is also introducing its first-ever social media correspondent, top fashion blogger Bryanboy, who even has a handbag named after him by Marc Jacobs. Bryanboy will use his extensive knowledge of both fashion and social media to mentor the models and highlight the scores, comments and video messages from the viewers that will be revealed in the show during judging. Also lending his expertise to the show this cycle for multiple episodes will be dancer and choreographer Jonté, who will work with the models as the movement mentor. Jonté has choreographed for Beyoncé and is also an international singing performer in his own right. He will be tasked with helping the women bring out their charisma in the various challenges and photos shoots.
In addition to the panel of judges, which includes Banks, fashion public relations maven Kelly Cutrone and new judge, former boxer and international male supermodel Rob Evans, the public will be able to have a say in who stays and who goes in the competition. The new component of having the audience at home serve as the fourth judge, allows for all of the votes to have the same weight. Fans will have numerous opportunities each week to vote online and via mobile at http://cwtv.com/thecw/antmvoting and choose their favorite contestants based on photo shoots taken during production. The audience vote is compiled from an average of each of the viewer's numerical online and mobile votes. These scores will be added to scores from Banks and the judges to help determine who is eliminated each week. Also, in a new twist, the girls who have already been eliminated will have the opportunity to return to the competition via votes on their photo shoot pictures, which will allow the audience the chance to save their favorite model.
"We are excited about all of the new changes with 'America's Next Top Model,' especially the addition of the viewer as the fourth judge," said Ken Mok, Executive Producer. "Viewers will get to see the results of all of their votes, which girls stayed and which girls went home each week as a result of their votes, as well as all of the exciting stories and drama beyond the photos when the show airs in August."
