INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY DELIVERS BLIND-SIDED BRIDES AND FIRST-DATE FREAKOUTS WITH THE RETURN OF "WHO THE (BLEEP) DID I MARRY?," COUPLED WITH THE ALL-NEW SERIES "DATES FROM HELL"
-- Beginning Wednesday, July 11, ID Introduces a Night of "Love Gone Wrong" --
(Silver Spring, MD) - Outrageous first dates, jilted spouses and shocking secrets are all part of romance gone terribly awry in Investigation Discovery's new Wednesday night programming block titled "Love Gone Wrong." Beginning on July 11, ID ushers in a new line of formerly blissful brides baring their betrayals with another vow-breaking season of WHO THE (BLEEP) DID I MARRY? Showcasing spouses of liars, cheaters, and thieves, these women have unknowingly signed up for much more than a happy honeymoon and a new last name. Then, everyone has had their share of bad dates, from awkward banter and bad breath to the constant twitching and endless conversation about his mother. But, it's quite another story when flirtations turn fatal. In ID's new series DATES FROM HELL, men and women share their personal stories of how something that started out as dinner and a movie quickly transformed into a terrifying tale. A new season of WHO THE (BLEEP) DID I MARRY? returns on Wednesday, July 11 at 9 and 9:30 PM (e/p), followed by the all-new series DATES FROM HELL premiering at 10 and 10:30 PM (e/p).
"Both of these "Love Gone Wrong" series showcase men and women who are looking for the person of their dreams - only to have their relationship turn into their worst nightmares," said Henry Schleiff, president and general manager, Investigation Discovery. "These true and almost unbelievable first-person accounts will captivate viewers eager to avoid the dark side of love."
All told in shocking first-hand accounts, each half-hour episode of WHO THE (BLEEP) DID I MARRY tells the story of an "I do" turned "You did WHAT?" In the premiere episode on July 11 at 9 PM, Kendra Beebe falls victim to the violent attack of Hollywood comedian, Shelly Malil, best known for his portrayal of a foul-mouthed employee in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin." Viewers follow Beebe's story from the start of a flower-filled Hollywood romance all the way to a hospital bed where she fights for her life after her attempted murder. Other episodes this season include Amber Frey's account of her relationship with Scott Peterson, going from starry-eyed lover to star witness at his double murder trial, and that of a gambling man whose poker face was hiding something far more sinister than a full house.
Then, in the new six-part series, DATES FROM HELL, Investigation Discovery profiles stories where the search for the love of your life turns into a fight to the death. In the premiere episode at 10 PM, an American tourist watches her charming Italian love interest transform into a violent assailant, leaving her to scale the rooftops of Rome searching for safety in a foreign city. Then at 10:30 PM, two college sweethearts quickly find themselves surrounded by three gang members who torture them, separate them, and leave them both for dead in the harsh extremes of the New Mexican desert. This new series will bring in a slew of stories that examine what it really means to survive a true date from hell, including a woman who had to make a daring escape from her kidnapper's trunk to a man who was lured into a serial killer's lair from a dating website.
