BBC America Sets "Chef Race: U.K. vs. U.S." Premiere, Return Dates for "Bedlam," "Richard Hammond's Crash Course"

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- BBC America has locked in a new wave of fall premieres, including a launch date for its newcomer "Chef Race: U.K. vs. U.S."

Said competition - in which 16 chefs (eight Brits, eight Americans) cross the United States from Los Angeles to New York City in hopes of winning the $100,000 prize - will debut Saturday, September 29 at 10:00/9:00c following the fall finale of "Doctor Who." The series will then move into its regular Tuesday, 10:00/9:00c slot on October 2.

Assuming "Who's" mantle on "Supernatural Saturdays" will be the six-episode second season of "Bedlam" on October 6 at 9:00/8:00c. As for the network's "Ministry of Laughs" block at 11:00/10:00c, look for the special "Simon Amstell: Do Nothing" on October 6 followed by this year's "Funny as Hell" event on October 13 and 20 as well as a new season of "The Graham Norton Show" on October 27.

And finally, season two of "Richard Hammond's Crash Course" is on tap for Monday, October 15 at 10:00/9:00c.
