NORIKO GEE PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, PROGRAM PLANNING & SCHEDULING, CBS
Noriko Gee has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Programming Planning & Scheduling, it was announced today by Kelly Kahl, Senior Executive Vice President, CBS Primetime, to whom she reports.
In her position, Gee will be responsible for scheduling all CBS primetime series, specials and movies. She will also oversee CBS's theatrical acquisitions and continue to contribute to the planning of The CW's schedule.
"Noriko is one of the best scheduling minds in our business," said Kahl. "From the placement of new series to key strategic moves of hit shows to grow nights, CBS has benefitted greatly from her sharp programming acumen and instinctive analysis. We're excited to recognize her terrific work and expand her responsibilities in the Company."
Gee had been Vice President, Program Planning & Scheduling since April 2010, where she played a role in the Network's successful scheduling moves of THE BIG BANG THEORY to Thursday at 8:00 PM and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION to Wednesday at 10:00 PM. Previously, she served as a Director in the department since May 2007.
Gee moved into the Scheduling department in 2003 as a Coordinator, working with the department to schedule series, movies and specials for CBS and UPN. She was promoted to Manager in February 2006.
She began her career as an intern in the CBS research department in 2001, and in 2002 was named a research analyst.
Gee is a graduate of USC with a bachelor of arts in East Asian languages and cultures. She also has an M.A. in communication management from USC's Annenberg School of Communication.
