Thom Beers hosts AFTER THE DREDGE Sept 28/Oct 5 at 9PM

The first season of BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE concluded last Friday, and the two-part Thom Beers hosted aftershow, AFTER THE DREDGE, will air on Friday Sept. 28 and Oct. 5 at 9PM ET/PT on Discovery Channel.

BERING SEA GOLD: UNDER THE ICE follows three gold mining teams run by driven dredge captains whose very livelihoods depend on mining this wet and frozen gold 25 feet below the frozen surface of the Bering Sea. Only an omnipresent fear of death and the physiological and psychological effects of cold water diving under solid ice, including hypothermia, hypoxia, hypercapnia, vertigo, and frostbite separate these miners from their fortunes.

After the season we learn the best way to survive all that comes with diving under the ice is team work.
