NEW YORK, October 11, 2012 - COMEDY CENTRAL announced today that Carly Rae Jepsen, Chris Matthews, Paula Deen, Steve Schirripa and "Jersey Shore" stars Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola will join the star-studded line up for the taping of "Night of Too Many Stars: America Comes Together For Autism Programs" on Saturday, October 13 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. The special will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL on Sunday, October 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
This year's event will feature the theme "America Comes Together," featuring pairings of celebrity rivals or polar opposites coming together and agreeing that Autism is a cause worth supporting. The show will premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL on Sunday, October 21 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT with additional live wrap-arounds from "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" studio in New York City, featuring a celebrity phone bank, allowing viewers to call in during the airing to donate while speaking and even video chatting with additional stars and comedic heavyweights. Stewart will also host the live wrap-arounds.
Previously announced talent includes Hannibal Buress, Bill Burr, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, Tom Morello, Tracy Morgan, Katy Perry, Amy Poehler and Seth Rogen whom will be at the Beacon Theatre for the taping on Saturday, October 13. Fred Armisen, Matthew Broderick, Andy Cohen, Anderson Cooper, Jimmy Kimmel, Jack McBrayer, Julianne Moore, Bob Saget, Jerry Seinfeld, Jason Sudeikis, and Meredith Vieira will be manning the phone bank during the live event on October 21.
