COMEDIAN LEWIS BLACK JOINS W. KAMAU BELL ON "TOTALLY BIASED" FOR POST-ELECTION INTERVIEW

New York, NY - November 7, 2012 - W. Kamau Bell welcomes comedian Lewis Black as his guest this Thursday, November 8 @ 11:30pm-12:00am ET/PT for the post-Presidential election installment of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell.
Lewis Black is a multiple Grammy Award-winning comedian and playwright. He is one of few performers to sell out Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City Center, the Mirage in Las Vegas and recently completed a sold out run on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. He got his start in theater as playwright-in-residence at the West Bank Café's Downstairs Theatre Bar where he oversaw the development of more than 1,000 plays, including works by West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin and American Beauty writer Alan Ball. A cast member of The Daily Show since its inception in 1996, Lewis has also done four standup specials for Comedy Central and ruled as judge for two seasons on Root of All Evil. He earned an Emmy for his wit and humor in segments for HBO's Inside the NFL which he produced and starred in 2005. He's filmed two HBO specials, Black on Broadway and Red, White and Screwed and has written three bestselling books, Nothing's Sacred, Me of Little Faith and I'm Dreaming of a Black Christmas. In fall 2009 his stand-up performance, Stark Raving Black, was released in theatres across the US and Canada. The CD of the performance debuted at #1 on the Billboard comedy chart in June 2010 and went on to win his second Grammy for Best Comedy Album in 2011. He first was for 2007's The Carnegie Hall Performance. His latest special, In God We Rust, is currently airing on Epix.
Totally Biased, from Bell and Executive Producers Chris Rock, Chuck Sklar and Keri Smith Esguia, stars standup comedian W. Kamau Bell as he hilariously dissects politics, pop culture, race, religion, sex and the media from his own unique point of view. The show features live guests and taped segments. The show is produced by FX Productions.
W. Kamau Bell, recently declared by The New York Times to be "the most promising talent in political comedy in many years," is one of the fastest rising socio-political comics in the United States. A founding member of the stand-up comedy collective "Laughter Against the Machine," Kamau is also co-host of The Field Negro Guide to Arts & Culture podcast with Living Colour guitarist Vernon Reid. His recent stand up album, Face Full of Flour, was named one of the Top 10 Best Comedy Albums of 2010 by iTunes and Punchline Magazine. Bell is best known for his critically acclaimed solo show "The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour," which was a Time Out New York Critic's Pick in the 2010 NY Comedy Festival, and a comedy pick in The Guardian during its 2011 run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In December, Bell will be touring the country with his new stand up show, "The Kamau Mau Uprising."
