THE PALEY CENTER FOR MEDIA ANNOUNCES THREE PUBLIC PROGRAMS SLATED FOR JANUARY 2013

SPECIAL PREMIERE SCREENINGS AND PANELS WILL CELEBRATE "BEING HUMAN," "FRINGE" AND "SUITS"

BEVERLY HILLS, CA, DECEMBER 20, 2012 - The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills is proud to announce the initial lineup of public programs slated for January including An Evening with Syfy's "Being Human," "Fringe" Benefits and An Evening with "Suits." Each event will honor the respective series with a special preview screening and panel discussion with members of the series cast and creative teams. The "Fringe" celebration will also feature an exclusive gallery exhibit and reception. Individual event details to follow.

The Paley Center for Media Presents An Evening with Syfy's "Being Human" Season Three Premiere Screening & Panel

WHAT: The Paley Center for Media will host An Evening with Syfy's "Being Human" with the season three premiere screening followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with the show's cast and Executive Producer, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at The Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills. Syfy's hit re-imagining of the popular British series follows three twenty-something Bostonians as they navigate the demands of contemporary urban life, which in their case is a bit harder due to certain existential complications: one's a ghost, one's a vampire, and one's a werewolf. And you thought you had angst! The metaphorical possibilities are endless, and the series has won praise for explicating the humanity of its characters, in addition to their preternatural qualities. Among its fans is the Atlantic's Alyssa Rosenberg, who lauds the series as a "sharp, charming twist on the supernatural that also deftly explores that most important of twenty-something relationships, being roommates." The new season of "Being Human" premieres Monday, January 14 at 9pm ET/PT on Syfy. The event is open to the public. Tickets are on sale Thursday, December 20 to Paley Center Members for $10; and to the general public on Friday, December 21 for $15.
