FORGET THE OLD AND BLUE!

BRIDES CHOOSE SOMETHING BORROWED OR SOMETHING NEW

On TLC's newest fashion wedding series premiering Friday, February 8th at 10/9c

[Los Angeles, CA] -- Since the Victorian era, brides have followed the good luck tradition of wearing a token of Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue on their wedding day. In the latest addition to TLC's BrideDay lineup, 12 episodes of the new half-hour series, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW premiers Friday, February 8th at 10/9c and follows a bride's journey to find the perfect wedding dress, but with a twist. They have to choose if they will walk down the aisle in a new designer gown or a fashionably reimagined heirloom.

In each episode, hosted by designer Kelly Nishimoto and stylist Sam Saboura, the bride-to-be works with the experts to help her choose between two dress options. She has the opportunity to wear a special, previously worn gown (mother's hand me down, best friend's princess gown, etc.) that Kelly will rework to update for the time, venue and personality of the bride. The bride will also join Sam on a shopping trip as he takes her to the bridal salon to pick out a brand new stylish dress. Then, it's an emotional roller-coaster as the bride has to choose between a nostalgic one-of-a kind dress and a new and fashionable piece.

Meet the duo who will assist these women in making one of the most important decisions for their wedding day:

Kelly Nishimoto is a noted fashion designer and television personality who began designing at an early age in her home state of Georgia, repurposing everyday items into fashionable art. She's garnered accolades for her work, including "Top Ten Designers to Watch" by the Miami Herald and debuted a collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Kelly is based in Los Angeles.

Sam Saboura is a top stylist and fashion expert, as well as a published author and television personality. Saboura launched his professional career as the personal shopper at Fred Segal, and for several years, he dressed many of the world's most visible stars - including Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt. Based in Los Angeles, he contributes regularly to national print and broadcast media.

TLC's SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING NEW premieres Friday, February 8th at 10/9c and is produced by Trium Entertainment.
