DIY NETWORK TURNS ITS FOCUS TO LANDSCAPING AND OUTDOOR RENOVATIONS WITH TWO NEW ORIGINAL SERIES

Plus Fourteen Fan-Favorite Series Return With Brand New Seasons

NEW YORK - March 1, 2013 - As winter gives way, DIY Network turns its attention to spring with the debut of two new original series Garage Gold and I Hate My Yard, as well as new seasons of several landscaping favorites, including Yard Crashers and Desperate Landscapes. Featuring experts coming to the rescue of homeowners who need help taming and revamping unruly, out-of-control spaces - from the garage to the patio - DIY Network has plenty of spring programming focused on creating the perfect space, whether it's an outdoor retreat or an indoor area to escape rainy spring days.

Homeowners who are ready to turn a lackluster yard into an outdoor oasis will be inspired by the new yard renovation series, I Hate My Yard, premiering Tuesday, May 7 at 10 p.m. ET. Professional landscape designer and host Sara Bendrick joins James Young, host of I Hate My Kitchen, and Jeff Devlin, host of I Hate My Bath, in the I Hate My... franchise, helping homeowners overhaul the parts of their houses that they can't stand. Sara will use economical, yet clever, landscape designs to whip unsightly outdoor spaces into shape. I Hate My Yard features new landscaping products and offers plenty of useful take-away information sure to boost viewers' landscaping creativity.

More landscaping inspiration strikes with new seasons of several series for outdoor enthusiasts, beginning with the ninth season of Yard Crashers, premiering Monday, April 1 at 10 p.m. ET. Returning for its 10th season, Desperate Landscapes premieres Wednesday, April 3 at 10 p.m. ET. Licensed contractor and host Jason Cameron continues to bring creative solutions to the toughest landscaping problems, increasing curb appeal for lucky homeowners who are in serious need of an outdoor makeover. Impossible 48-hour yard makeovers take place on Yardcore, which kicks off its second season on Thursday, April 4 at 10 p.m. ET, and viewers can watch beautiful outdoor entertainment spaces take shape with the mid-season premiere of Extra Yardage on Friday, April 5 at 10 p.m. ET. Crews turn their attention to decks and patios on Decked Out, premiering its second season on Saturday, May 4 at 10 a.m. ET and Deck Wars, also premiering its second season, on Saturday, May 4 at 9 a.m. ET.

The yard makeovers continue when professional landscaper and host Chris Lambton transforms neglected backyards into family spaces that are perfect for entertaining. The popular HGTV series Going Yard makes its DIY Network debut on Tuesday, April 2 at 10:30 p.m. ET. Mike Holmes, another HGTV favorite, comes to the rescue of homeowners who have been misled by previous home inspectors during DIY Network's second season debut of Holmes Inspection, premiering Tuesday, April 9 at 8 p.m. ET.

For homeowners who need inspiration to begin pesky spring cleaning, DIY Network's new original series Garage Gold premieres Saturday, April 6 at 7 p.m. ET. In this organization-meets-renovation series, organization specialist and host Kraig Bantle and the crew from Garage Brothers, a family business based in Raleigh, N.C., offer to clean up garages, basements and attics that are out of control. Kraig and his team clear the clutter and repurpose the spaces into rooms that homeowners can enjoy. The catch? The crew takes any valuables they find and resells them, hoping to turn a profit. The hidden treasures that the Garage Brothers team discovers are sure to surprise viewers, and the refurbished rooms won't disappoint the renovation-loving crowd.

Salvage Dawgs also returns with a mid-season premiere in June. The series continues to chronicle the adventures of Robert Kulp and Mike Whiteside, owners of a Roanoke, Va., architectural salvage business, Black Dog Salvage, as they reclaim vintage elements from historic structures and resell them to be used in home renovations across the country. In the third season of Family Under Construction, premiering on Saturday, May 18 at 10 p.m. ET, the Gabriel family is featured as their renovation plans are tested by floods, storms, big delays and busted budgets. Major disagreements also hinder their plans to gut and renovate their dream house, but living under construction could make the Gabriels the toughest family on the block - if it doesn't do them in first.

If it's a new room that homeowners need, DIY Network has brand new episodes of its popular renovation programs. Other favorites in the Crashers franchise continue alongside the ninth season of Yard Crashers, with new episodes of House Crashers (Season 8, Monday, June 10 at 11 p.m. ET) and Kitchen Crashers (Season 4, Monday, June 3 at 9 p.m. ET). Jeff Devlin tackles outdated bathrooms in the fourth season of I Hate My Bath, premiering Tuesday June 18. Smart appliances and new building materials featured on the third season of I Want That, premiering on Wednesday, April 10 at 11 p.m. ET, are enough to make anyone want to update their space.
