TRUE STORIES OF SCORNED SPOUSES AND REMORSELESS REVENGE ARE REVEALED IN INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY'S NEW SERIES "KARMA'S A B*TCH!," HOSTED BY PAYBACK PROFESSIONAL, STEVE SCHIRRIPA

-- Six-Part Series Chronicling Devious Deception Plots Premieres with Back-to-Back Episodes on Thursday May 2, May 9 and May 16 at 10 and 10:30 PM --

(Silver Spring, MD) - An eye for an eye might leave us all blind, but does that mean we can't get just a little creative when someone does us dirty? In Investigation Discovery's provocative new series KARMA'S A B*TCH!, host Steve Schirripa, who played Bobby Baccalieri on HBO's hit series The Sopranos, guides viewers through a delightfully devious world of unrelenting revenge. From scorned spouses, upset exes, and deadbeat dads, stories of premeditated and meticulously planned plots are packed full of emotional intrigue, tension, drama - and a hefty serving of "what goes around, comes around." Accompanying each story are interstitials of Schirripa conducting his unique man-on-the-street interviews to ask unsuspecting passersby what they would do in the same situation. Introducing the most outrageous and innovative ways to get mad and get even, KARMA'S A B*TCH! premieres on Thursday, May 2, May 9 and May 16 at 10 and 10:30 PM (E/P) on Investigation Discovery.

"Revenge is a dish best served cold - and for the cold-hearted lowlifes featured in KARMA'S A B*TCH!, they definitely had it coming!" said Henry Schleiff, president of Investigation Discovery. "In stories with schemes so well-crafted, there is no better host than Steve Schirripa to highlight 'everyman' justice and walk us through the ways to appropriately - or not so appropriately - settle the score."

The premiere episode on May 2 at 10 PM features three stories of brilliant retribution. First, a woman seeks revenge on her cheating husband by flaunting his infidelity and putting their house on the market with a sign that reads: "Husband Left Us for a 22 Year Old...House for Sale. Adulterers Need Not Apply." Then, when a woman recognizes herself as "the fat assed girlfriend" in her ex's novel, she gets even with a successful tell-all book of her own. The half hour closes out with a girlfriend who discovers her boyfriend is cheating on her with two other women - one of whom is his wife! The three of them gang up and lure the cheater to a hotel room with a frisky surprise - combining nail glue and his private parts. At 10:30 PM, KARMA comes back around with one story so epic, it deems its own half hour. Framed for crimes she didn't commit, karma begins to work in reverse when Seemona Sumasar is jailed after her ex-boyfriend sets her up. Behind bars for seven months and having lost everything, she is stymied until the culprit's new girlfriend turns informant and exposes his plot. Sumasar is now suing the authorities for failing to investigate the case properly.

Additional episodes of KARMA'S A B*TCH! are rife with other rewarding retaliation schemes, including:

Perfect Payback: Premieres May 9 at 10 PM

When a wife discovers that her husband is cheating on her, she uses an old law on Utah's books to her advantage and sues the mistress for egregious pursuit of her "property." Then, when a woman finds out her boyfriend's cheating, she kicks him out of the apartment and sells his clothes on eBay by posing in them half nude. Her scantily clad fashion show gains national attention. The half hour closes out with a jilted girl who is dumped right before her big sorority formal, so she places an ad on Craigslist for a hot male, model-type. A fairy godmother in the form of Ryan Seacrest steps in and she is rewarded with not one, but two celebrity beaux - Derek Hough from Dancing with the Stars and Jason Kennedy from E! News.

Vanishing Act: Premieres May 9 at 10:30 PM

It takes decades before karma catches up with the ultimate deadbeat dad, who faked his own death in order to get out of paying child support. Then, a dentist extracts revenge when her ex-boyfriend comes in for a check-up. Finally, when an Italian-American actress' performance is panned by a critic who calls her "unconvincingly Italian," the heartbroken entertainer gets even with a short, silent film that goes viral.

Stolen Lives: Premieres May 16 at 10 PM

A woman who was victim of identity theft receives little help from the police, so she begins to investigate on her own. When she spots her offender, a real-life chase ensues - until the perp needs to stop for a smoke. Then, a dissatisfied customer stows a fish in his safety deposit box for a smelly surprise. Finally, a teenage girl is bullied, called "Pizza Face" by her classmates, but after she finds a cosmetic cure for her acne, she creates a YouTube channel with step-by-step guides helping other teenagers to better skin. Her new look is so photogenic that she becomes a model and learns that success is the sweetest revenge of all.

In the Cross Hairs: Premieres May 16 at 10:30 PM

Scammed by the same conman-husband, Robert Walker's two ex-wives join forces to bring him to justice. Then, spurned by her husband, a songwriter channels her feelings into a musical public shaming. Finally, after his daughter rants on Facebook about being the "family slave," a gun-toting dad gets even with her laptop.

ABOUT STEVE SCHIRRIPA

Steve Schirripa was born in Brooklyn, NY - a city noted more for the "mob" stereotype. But stereotypes, like a wise guy's alibi, can be misleading. A series regular on David Chase's acclaimed HBO drama The Sopranos, Schirripa is also a published writer, with the national bestseller, A Goomba's Guide to Life, his first in a series of three Goomba guidebooks. His second book The Goomba's Book of Love and his third The Goomba Diet, are currently in stores.

With the popularity of the Goomba series, Schirripa was asked to write Goomba books for young adults, the first entitled Nicky Deuce: Welcome to the Family, which was followed up by Nicky Deuce: Home for the Holidays. The books were so successful that Nickelodeon commissioned a film based on them. Schirripa is an executive producer as well as star of the project.

As the proud father of two daughters, Schirripa is now bringing his trademark humor and tough-guy credentials to a new book on parenting. Big Daddy's Rules, which he wrote with Philip Lerman, hits bookstore shelves on May 7, 2013.

Currently, Schirripa stars on the hit ABC Family series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, in which he plays a single, hard-working father of a teenage boy. Prior to hosting Karma's a B*tch! for Investigation Discovery, Schirripa was the host and executive producer of two successful seasons of ID's Nothing Personal.

KARMA'S A B*TCH! is a Cineflix (Karma) Inc. production in association with Investigation Discovery. For Cineflix, Simon Lloyd and Steve Schirripa are executive producers. For Investigation Discovery, Liz Massie is executive producer, Sara Kozak is senior vice president of production, and Henry Schleiff is president of Investigation Discovery.
