COSABELLA AND STARZ ANNOUNCE COSABELLA'S EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION INSPIRED BY THE STARZ ORIGINAL SERIES, "MAGIC CITY"

New York, NY - April 25, 2013 - Cosabella and Starz are proud to announce a limited edition capsule of sexy and sumptuous lingerie inspired by the STARZ Original series, "Magic City." The Cosabella exclusive collection is a nod to 1950's fashion, taking key design elements from the show's infamous Miami setting during an era of gambling, drugs, money, sex and drop-dead glamour. "The collection is wildly sexy and evocative of the era. They got the smoldering sensibility of the Cuban vibe....It's really sexy-looking, almost illicit." said writer-director-producer of "Magic City," Mitch Glazer.

The show first premiered in 2012 and was quickly renewed for a second season which is premiering Friday, June 14th at 9pm ET/PT on STARZ. The collection will leverage the strength of both brands to cross-promote season two of "Magic City" and showcase vintage lingerie styles with a modern and functional take from Cosabella. "I believe "Magic City" is the sexiest, most provocative show on TV. This is a collaborative effort and is a great way to tell a story," said Guido Campello, Vice President of Sales, Innovation and Branding for Cosabella.

The collection will consist of 38 unique pieces ranging from retail price points $45 to $244. Starting May 2013, groupings will be sold at major department stores, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman as well as Cosabella's three U.S. flagship stores and on shop.cosabella.com. To assist in the design process, Cosabella created character profiles capturing the essence of Vera Evans, Lily Diamond, Judi Silver, Mercedes Lazaro and Meg Bannock. Cosabella's exclusive collection inspired by the STARZ Original series, "Magic City" features five groups corresponding to each of the show's five leading characters.

The Vera group, designed after Ike's gorgeous and supportive wife is represented by the glamorous, Deep Purple and Black jewel toned grouping fashioned in supple modal mixed with a delicate appliqué lace. Sultry and daring, The Lily grouping created in steaming hot, medallion crochet lace with skin hugging micro fiber in Jet Black. The Judi, themed after the blond bombshell and a fixture in the Atlantis Lounge, inspires a provocative group created with just the right touch of provocative fishnet detailing. Fashioned with a microfiber based grouping adds sex appeal with luring fishnet panels in Jet Black. The sweet-but-precocious The Mercedes group makes a mark with a soft cotton grouping trimmed in delicate geometric floral lace in Pink Sand. And last but certainly not least, The Meg grouping, created after the sister of Ike's first wife, has the kind of class and sophistication that only old money can buy, inspires the elegance of a loungewear grouping in smooth microfiber and floral lace paneling.

"Cosabella did a really interesting thing by being inspired and tailoring lingerie for the different characters, defining a Lily, a Meg or a Vera. It's lingerie that came from the heart of each character, and that's what I try to do writing the show," said creator and executive producer of "Magic City," Mitch Glazer.

This exclusive collection marries the iconic Cosabella sense of Italian style with "Magic City's" vintage-inspired lingerie drawer. From retro fitting high briefs, low cut bras and straight across the waist garter belts to classic full length night gowns adorned with a peek a boo lace trim for a glimpse of cleavage, Cosabella sets the tone of each group ensuring the looks were translated in a way that today's leading ladies would aspire to wear. Featuring a basic color palette with hints of amethyst and copper coin designed in an array of the most majestic fabrics, the lineup blends the glitz and glam of the "Magic City" time period with modern runway trends seen for Fall 2013.
