"FUTURE FIREPOWER," DISCOVERY'S NEW SERIES, INTRODUCES THE NEXT GENERATION OF 21ST CENTURY WEAPONRY IN A 3-PART MARATHON THIS THURSDAY

The series provides scenarios, ranging from rogue states to terrorism, demonstrating the defense technology of tomorrow ultimately aims to save more lives and quickly end conflict.
EPISODE 1: "ROGUE STATE" premieres at 8 PM ET/PT
What happens when a nation state goes rogue in the near future? In this episode, hi-tech defensive weaponry combats the aggression of a rogue state army in a scenario with super-speed jets, remote-controlled weapon stations and mini-robots infiltrating civilian areas. Watch as they strive to end the war as fast as possible using every tactic in their arsenals.
EPISODE 2: "SUPERPOWERS" premieres at 9 PM ET/PT
In the near future, two mighty superpowers could go to war. Both sides field massive armies equipped with the most advanced weapon systems ever deployed in combat. Watch as this scenario includes super-smart missiles neutralizing enemy armor, electric-powered Naval guns firing projectiles at speeds 3 times faster than a fighter jet and explosive cannon rounds aiming to quickly take-down hostile aircrafts.
EPISODE 3: "ASYMMETRIC WAR" premieres at 10 PM ET/PT
In a conflict where terrorists and insurgents are armed with low tech and devastating weapons, military defense technology needs to get smart and respond quickly without harming civilians. Scenarios include fragment free blast-wave rockets, bomb disposal robots and unmanned spy planes armed to protect civilians and military alike.
