Pac-12 College Football Games Added to ESPN's 2013 Schedule
ESPN has added eight Pac-12 Conference college football games to its 2013 schedule for ESPN, ABC and ESPN2 telecasts. The schedule includes two Thursday and two Friday night games, and concludes with the season-ending Pac-12 Championship game on Saturday, Dec. 7. It will mark the first time an ESPN platform will televise the conference title game.
Additional games will be announced as the season progresses. Highlights:
· The selections include games involving teams ranked in an early ESPN.com preseason top 25 poll, highlighted by a Thursday ESPN College Football Primetime telecast pitting No. 3 Oregon at No. 5 Stanford on November 7, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. Stanford defeated Oregon 17-14 in overtime last season, giving the Ducks their only loss of the 2012 campaign.
· ESPN2 will televise two Friday night Pac-12 games, both involving one ranked team: No. 23 USC at Oregon State on November 1 and Washington at No. 19 UCLA on November 15.
· The first two weeks of the schedule will include three non-conference matchups against traditional power conferences. Two of the games will feature a Pac-12 team hosting ranked Big Ten squads (California against No. 24 Northwestern and Arizona State against No. 25 Wisconsin) and No. 3 Oregon against the SEC's Tennessee.
