OCCULT (A&E/ABC Studios; W: James Wong; D: TBA) - Sarah Jane Morris ("NCIS") has boarded the pilot, a drama about a newly formed occult crimes task force at the FBI. She'll play Rebekah, the wife of Agent Dolan (Josh Lucas) who is returning from leave after going off the deep end while investigating her disappearance. Lynn Collins, Agnes Bruckner, Daniel Henney and Brennan Brown also star in the Michael Bay-produced hour. (TVLine.com)


THE STRAIN (FX/FX Productions; W: Chuck Hogan & Guillermo del Toro; D: Guillermo del Toro) - Miguel Gomez ("Louie") has scored a role on the drama pilot, a high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. Gomez will play Augustin "Gus" Elizalde, "a badass gangbanger whose one redeeming trait is his love for his mother. Fresh out of juvenile hall after serving 18 months for manslaughter, he becomes one of humanity�s most effective warriors in the struggle against the vampires."
