NEW YORK, NY (June 20, 2013) - In 1987, President Ronald Reagan declared June 25 as "National Catfish Day" and stated, "I call upon the people of the United States to observe this day with appropriate ceremonies and activities." Now on June 25, 2013, MTV is answering President Reagan's call to action and celebrating the day with the season two return of the critically acclaimed docu-series "Catfish: The TV Show" at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The season two premiere episode will feature Cassie, a Florida girl who pursues her fiancé Steve, a busy Atlanta rapper who she's never met.
In honor of "National Catfish Day," delicious catfish will take over all of MTV social channels. From the catfishing of iconic MTV moments to catfish po boys and catfish reveals from season one; were they really catfish?
