UNDATEABLE (NBC/Warner Bros.; W: Adam Sztykiel; D: Scott Ellis) - David Fynn ("Pete versus Life") has joined the cast of the midseason comedy, about new roommates - man-child Danny (Chris D'Elia) and chronic over-thinker Justin (Brent Morin) - who bond over their foibles with the opposite sex. He'll play Brett ("gay and prohibitively picky about everything"), one of Justin's fellow "undateable" friends. Matthew Wilkas originated the role in the pilot, one of two being recast (the other being Briga Heelan). Bianca Kajlich, Rick Glassman and Ron Funches also star. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JILL SOLOWAY PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - Jill Soloway ("How to Make It in America") has sold a new comedy to Amazon Studios that centers on "a family with a few secrets." No other details were given about the half-hour, which is currently untitled. Soloway will write and executive produce. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Camryn Manheim will guest on "Criminal Minds" as "the mother of an UnSub in the procedural's two-part season premiere" (TVLine.com); Louis Lombardi will recur on TNT's "Lost Angels" as Stucky, one of Mickey Cohen's (Jeremy Luke) men (THR.com); British actor Sean Pertwee is bound for the new season of "Elementary" as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Scotland Yard inspector G.
