DIY NETWORK BEGINS PRODUCTION ON NEW SERIES "REV. RUN'S RENOVATION"
Home of Hip Hop Legend Gets Major Transformation
NEW YORK (For Immediate Release - July 10, 2013) -- DIY Network has started production on its highly anticipated new series, Rev. Run's Renovation (w.t.). Slated to premiere in 2014, the series will chronicle the home renovation of hip hop icon Joseph Simmons (a.k.a. Rev. Run), best known as DJ Run from the influential rap group, Run DMC.
"This house has been the same for close to 13 years, so we are thrilled that it's going to get the facelift it deserves," said Rev. Run. "I'm ready to roll up my sleeves and get this thing done. But, it will not be without conflict. Pray for the Reverend!"
The Simmons' 9,000 sq. ft. home in New Jersey will undergo a complete overhaul, which will include remodeling the great room, kitchen, master suite and garage. His three children - Daniel (Diggy), Russell (Russy) and Miley - also will get newly renovated bedrooms and custom bathrooms.
