About Blood & Chrome
Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, gifted fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, The Borgias), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and hungry for action, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle as much as Adama craves its onset. Lili Bordn (Silent Witness) also stars.
Leveraging cutting edge CGI and virtual set technology, Blood & Chrome is produced by Universal Cable Productions, a division of NBCUniversal, and the award-winning producing team of Battlestar Galactica. David Eick (Battlestar Galactica, Caprica) is executive producer along with Michael Taylor (Battlestar Galactica, Caprica), who wrote the teleplay from a story by Taylor, Eick, Bradley Thompson (Battlestar Galactica, Falling Skies) and David Weddle (Battlestar Galactica, Falling Skies). Blood & Chrome was directed by Jonas Pate (Prime Suspect, Caprica).
About Defiance
Set in the near future, the planet Earth has been exotically transformed and its landscape permanently altered following the sudden - and tumultuous - arrival of seven unique alien races. Their arrival sparks 30 years of war, at the end of which the story of Defiance begins as groups of humans and aliens attempt to lay down their arms, build new civilizations and co-exist peacefully. Viewers follow an immersive character drama set in the boom-town of Defiance, which sits atop the ruins of St. Louis, MO, while in the game, players experience the frontier of the San Francisco Bay area.
The series' cast is led by Grant Bowler, portraying Nolan, a former Marine who fought in the alien conflict and became a wanderer in the new world. Julie Benz portrays Amanda Rosewater, the idealistic mayor of the bustling mining boomtown of Defiance. Stephanie Leonidas plays Irisa, a warrior who is part of an alien race called the Irathients, and Nolan's adopted daughter. Tony Curran and Jaime Murray portray Datak and Stahma Tarr, scheming and opportunistic members of an elite alien race known as the Castithans. Graham Greene is Rafe McCawley, owner of the largest mine in the territory. Mia Kirshner plays Kenya, the dauntless town madam, who displays an unwavering devotion to the town of Defiance.
The series is executive produced by Kevin Murphy (Desperate Housewives, Caprica, Hellcats), who also serves as showrunner, Michael Taylor (Battlestar Galactica) and Rockne O'Bannon (Farscape). Scott Stewart (Legion, Priest) directed the pilot; Michael Nankin serves as supervising producer/director on the series. Defiance is produced by Universal Cable Productions.
