OXYGEN CAPTURES YOUNG LOVE IN A FOUR PART SPECIAL EVENT "TOO YOUNG TO MARRY?" PREMIERING ON WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, AT 10 PM ET/PT
NEW YORK - July 23, 2012 - Oxygen Media takes an inside look at what happens when young lovers decide they can't live without each other in an emotional four part special event, "Too Young To Marry?" premiering on Wednesday, September 11, AT 10 PM ET/PT. With new episodes airing weekly, this heart-filled special follows opinionated teen couples who are determined to walk down the aisle with or without the blessing of their family and friends. With parents threatening to disown them, siblings accusing them of making the biggest mistake of their lives and friends pulling them in opposite directions, these young lovers must battle the odds to prove that age is just a number and love is all that matters.
In the first episode, two couples struggle to overcome the challenges that come with love and marriage. Bradley and Shanice began dating in high school and with their wedding only a few weeks away, they discover they'll need the consent of the people who don't want them to get married the most in order for the ceremony to be valid. Angel and Kevin are ready to tie the knot but Angels' mother disapproves of his decision to marry so young and struggles with the fact that her son is gay. The couple must ultimately decide if they are ready to get married, despite the challenges they are facing.
