DIVIDE & CONQUER (USA/UCP; W: Peter Ocko; D: TBA) - Matthew Gumley ("Supah Ninjas") is the latest addition to the pilot, a family comedy about love, support, attention and all the other things parents (Diane Farr, Greg Grunberg) do to mess up their kids. He'll play Ben, "the oldest of the Ball children and unofficial leader of his group of friends who is at that turning point in a boy's life when all he wants is his parents to leave him alone, and make his bed." DOMAIN (FOX, New!) - Feature writers David Elliot and Paul Lovett (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) have sold a potential drama to the network about "a brilliant young political 'hactivist' who is coerced into helping U.S. intelligence track down the source of a series of devastating national security leaks." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour with the studio-based Marty Adelstein, Shawn Levy and Becky Clements also executive producing via their 21 Laps/Adelstein Productions banner. THE GREAT ZUCCHINI (FX, New!) - Rob Lieber (Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day) has booked a new comedy at the cable channel about "a popular, charming and self-destructive kids performer as he attempts to grow up personally and professionally despite the fact he seems completely incapable of living like a responsible adult." Fox 21 is producing with Alex Goldstone of Anonymous Content and Ryan Reynolds, Allen Loeb, Steven Pearl and Jonathon Komack-Martin of DarkFire also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (ABC, New!) - Peter Nowalk ("Grey's Anatomy") has set up a potential drama at the Alphabet about "a group of ambitious law students and their brilliant, mysterious criminal defense professor who become entangled in a murder plot that will rock their entire university and change the course of their lives." Said effort comes from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers's ABC Studios-based Shondaland banner where they'll executive produce alongside Nowalk. (Deadline.com)
LINE OF SIGHT (AMC/AMC Studios/FTS; W: Blake Masters; D: Jonathan Demme) - Sarah Clarke (The Twilight Saga) is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about Lewis Bernt, a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash, bringing him on a quest to discover the accident's cause. She'll play his wife Dot, "an emotionally complicated woman trying to save her marriage and the life with her husband." (Deadline.com)
SEVEN DEADLIES (MTV, New!) - Gigi Levangie ("The Starter Wife") is looking to bring her upcoming book of the same name - about "an exclusive, private high school and centers on a Latina scholarship student who discovers that her classmates carry the bloodlines of the seven deadly sins, and that she must defeat them in order to save the world all while maintaining her GPA" - to the small screen. Stacey Title and Jonathan Penner will co-write said adaptation alongside Levangie, all of whom will presumably executive produce. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED D.L. HUGHLEY PROJECT (FX, New!) - D.L. Hughley ("The Hughleys") is developing a new single-camera comedy at the cable channel based on his experiences as an unapologetically honest family man and radio host. Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin ("Brickleberry") are on board to help pen the half-hour with 3 Arts Entertainment's Michael Rotenberg and Dave Becky also serving as executive producers for FX Productions. UNTITLED JENNY BICKS PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Jenny Bicks ("The Big C") has snagged a a put pilot commitment from the Peacock for a single-camera comedy about "a beached mermaid in search of adventure who winds up working in a bar/attraction in Miami with an eclectic group of people as lost as she is." 20th Century Fox Television, home to Bicks's overall deal, is producing.
