New York, N.Y. [For Immediate Release - Tuesday, August 20, 2013] DIY Network will air a special Man Caves episode featuring a dressing room makeover for Michael Strahan of LIVE with Kelly and Michael on Friday, August 23, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. When Michael joined Kelly as co-host, he inherited her old dressing room -- complete with flowers, scented candles and throw pillows. However, in this special episode, he finally received some special treatment for his "at-work" cave from the ultimate experts, Tony "The Goose" Siragusa and licensed contractor Jason Cameron. Over the course of four days, the guys transformed Michael's dressing room and office into a custom manly space with a new closet organizer, three televisions, custom-built desk and a master remote to control the entire room. In fact, Michael ended up with a double-room makeover fit for a Super Bowl champion.
"The Man Caves series taps into every man's need for a personal sanctuary," said Kathleen Finch, general manager, HGTV and DIY Network. "We understand that need to have an exclusive, unique refuge where they can enjoy all the things they love in peace."
To date, Tony and Jason have built more than 140 man caves including, a USO Troop Cave in Kuwait and Snoop Lion's man cave shed. DIY Network recently renewed the series for a 13th season of 10 new episodes. Throughout the new season, Jason and Tony will continue to create unique man caves that defy even the wildest imaginations and give guys what they really want -- the ultimate man cave.
"It's great to be in our 13th season. I can't believe we've come this far," said Tony. "It's so cool giving these guys their own Man Caves. We all know the house belongs to the wife, so it makes me happy to give them their own space in the home."
