America's Favorite Dancers Announced on "So You Think You Can Dance"
Plus: to cap off tonight's finale, it was announced that FOX has picked up the series for an 11th season.

SERIES PICKED UP FOR AN 11th SEASON

Two-Hour Season Finale Included A Performance by Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy, Plus an All-New Top 20 Group Performance

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE Tour Kicks Off in East Lansing, MI, on October 1

The 10th season of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE concluded tonight when Amy Yakima and Fik-Shun were crowned the winners during the live two-hour season finale on FOX. Yakima, 19, from Northville, MI, and Fik-Shun, 19, from Las Vegas, NV, received the most votes and danced off with the cash prize of $125,000 each. As part of the prize, both winners also will be featured on the cover of Dance Spirit magazine. Fellow finalists Jasmine Harper and Aaron Turner were eliminated as host Cat Deeley revealed the voting results. Joining judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy on tonight's show were guest judges Paula Abdul, Adam Shankman and tWitch. Additionally, fans chose "Wicked Game" (#SYTYCDCONTEMPORARY) as their favorite Travis Wall routine, and it was then performed on the program.

To cap off tonight's finale, it was announced that FOX has picked up SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE for an 11th season. Later this year, auditions will kick off for next season's competition, with producers traveling across the country in search of the best dancers in America. "Winning the show is a dream come true," said Yakima. "I never thought I would even make it to Vegas, and I had no idea what a crazy journey this show would take me on!"

"Winning the show is awesome and one of the best things that has ever happened to me," added Fik-Shun.

In addition to naming America's Favorite Dancers, the Season 10 finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE featured performances by this season's Top 20 dancers - including a special performance by the Top 20 that was choreographed by former SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE finalist and Justin Timberlake choreographer Ivan Koumaev. The celebration also showcased the judges' favorite routines from the season.

An encore of the season finale of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE will air on Friday, Sept. 13 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Also, this season's Top 10 dancers will participate in the 42-city SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE 2013 Tour. The tour kicks off Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Wharton Center in East Lansing, MI, and runs through Wednesday, Nov. 27, when it makes its final stop at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, CA.
