THE AFFAIR (Showtime; W: Hagai Levi & Sarah Treem; D: Mark Mylod) - Julia Goldani Telles ("Bunheads") has landed a role on the drama pilot, about Noah (Dominic West), a good husband, devoted father of four, and New York City high school teacher whose settled, comfortable world is about to implode when he meets a woman he thinks is his soul mate. She'll play 16-year-old Whitney, his eldest child, in the hour, which also stars Joshua Jackson, Maura Tierney and Ruth Wilson. (TVGuide.com)


DINKS (ABC, New!) - June Diane Raphael, Casey Wilson and Jonathan Groff have sagged a pilot production commitment from the Alphabet for a potential comedy about "a thirty-something couple (double-income, no kids) that straddles the line between life with kids and single life without them." Said effort is set up at ABC Studios, with Raphael attached to star and executive produce alongside Wilson and Groff. (Deadline.com)


FAR FROM THE TREE (FOX, New!) - Becky Hartman Edwards ("Switched at Birth") has set up a potential drama at the network about "the members of an all-American family whose lives are turned upside down when their eldest son is involved in a large scale eco-terrorist attack." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour with the studio-based Ruben Fleischer also serving as an executive producer. HARMONY HOUSE (NBC, New!) - Neil LaBute (DirecTV's "Full Circle") has booked a single-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a young psychiatric resident who finds the woman of his dreams in the most unlikely of places: as a patient in the psychiatric facility where he recently has taken a job." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan will also serve as an executive producer for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)


PRINCESS (ABC, New!) - Jordon Nardino ("Smash") has set up a new drama at the Alphabet about "a regular girl who falls in love with the heir of a political dynasty, becoming a modern-day princess. But what seems like a fairytale quickly unravels." ABC Studios is behind the hour with Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Robin Schwartz likewise serving as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)


THE ROYALS (E!/Lionsgate; W: Mark Schwahn; D: TBA) - William Moseley (The Chronicles of Narnia) has joined the cast of the drama pilot, a contemporary family ensemble steeped in all of the regal opulence of the British Monarchy and framed by Shakespeare's "Hamlet." He'll play Prince Liam, the younger brother to the beloved Prince Robert. The role is further detailed as: "When Robert is killed in a military training accident, Liam is thrust into a spotlight. Sexy, charming and smart, he's in love with a young American woman, Ophelia, who helps him cope with the loss of his brother and his new position as the next King of England." SPEC (NBC, New!) - Michael Alaimo ("Major Crimes") has booked a new drama at the Peacock about "a mysterious alien life form recovered from a derelict spacecraft who escapes into the woods outside a small Oregon town and one family that is forever changed by the discovery of this new visitor." Universal Television is behind the hour with Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan executive producing alongside Alaimo. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED ALI RUSHFIELD PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Ali Rushfield ("Parks & Recreation") has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet about "a 36-year-old woman/child who finally begins to grow up when she moves in with two 21-year-old girls." ABC Studios and Brillstein Entertainment Partners are behind the half-hour with the company's Robin Schwartz executive producing alongside Rushfield. Actress Leslie Grossman also serves as a consultant. (Deadline.com)


WOMEN & GIRLS (ABC, New!) - Kristin Newman ("The Neighbors") has booked a script order from the Alphabet for a new single-camera comedy about "a woman from the Sex And The City age and her half-sister from the Girls era who navigate life together at home and work." Brillstein Entertainment Partners' Robin Schwartz also serves as an executive producer on the half-hour, which is set up at ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
