AGENT CARTER (ABC, New!) - Hayley Atwell's Peggy Carter character is reportedly being eyed to topline a potential series from Marvel Television. Introduced in "Captain America: The First Avenger," Carter subsequently toplined the "Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter" short - directed by Marvel Studios co-president Louis D'Esposito, part of the upcoming Blu-ray release of "Iron Man 3." No auspices were given. (Deadline.com)
THE BOUNTY (ABC, New!) - Matt Cirulnick (UPN's "South Beach") is developing a new drama at the Alphabet about "one victim's quest for justice and healing: after her family is murdered, a national frenzy erupts as she inspires America to create the largest bounty in history for the killer's capture." ABC Studios is behind the hour with Anthony E. Zuiker of Dare to Pass and Margaret Riley, David McIlvain and Robin Schwartz of Brillstein Entertainment Partners also serving as executive producers. The former's Matthew Weinberg will also produce. (Deadline.com)
ESMERALDA (ABC, New!) - Evan Daugherty (Snow White and the Huntsman) is developing a period drama at the Alphabet that re-imagines Victor Hugo's "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" through the eyes of beautiful Gypsy Esmeralda. ABC Studios-based Mandeville Films is behind the project, with David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and Laurie Zaks executive producing alongside Daugherty. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
G'UNCLE (NBC, New!) - Billy Finnegan ("Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23") has sold a single-camera comedy to the Peacock "inspired by his own experience as a gay man living with his sister, her husband, and their two little kids in Washington, D.C." Sony Pictures Television-based Olive Bridge Entertainment is behind the half-hour, which has a penalty attached should it not go to pilot. The company's Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz then will executive produce while Michael Patrick Jann ("Us & Them") is attached to direct. (Deadline.com)
HR (Lifetime; W: Glenn Porter; D: Darren Star) - Will Kemp and Kallee Stewart have both been cast in the drama pilot, about Ellen Bell (Alicia Silverstone), an uptight Director of Human Resources for a global company who - after a head injury alters her outlook on life - throws standard corporate practices out the window and inspires the business to strive for new ambitions and profits. He'll play Piers Moore, "a British salesman, co-worker and potential love interest for Ellen's"; with Stewart as Judith, "a coworker of Ellen in the HR department." Greg Germann also stars. JENNIFER FALLS (TV Land; W: Matthew Carlson; D: TBA) - Missi Pyle has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about a career woman and mother (Jaime Pressly) who must move back in with her own mom after being let go from her high-powered, six-figure salary job. She'll play her childhood best friend "who is now divorced with a teenage son and works for a delivery service." Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis also serve as executive producers. (THR.com)
LAST NIGHT (FOX, New!) - Newcomers Jamie Abrams and D.J. Lubel have sold a single-camera comedy to the network about "four best friends who join up every Saturday night to navigate, analyze and hopefully survive the very real social revolution that is currently upon us." Aaron Kaplan's Kapital Entertainment is behind the half-hour, which is set up at 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ALI ADLER PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Ali Adler ("The New Normal") has set up at a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "the dirty little secret of those days and nights when your ex has the kids. You get to drink too much and binge-watch Breaking Bad without checking homework or giving baths - it's about the silver lining of divorce." ABC Studios is behind the half-hour, which likewise comes from the studio-based Fake Empire and fellow executive producers Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein. (Deadline.com)
