THE AFTER (Amazon; W/D: Chris Carter) - Sharon Lawrence, Andrew Howard, Arielle Kebbel and newcomer Jaina Lee Ortiz have all booked roles on the drama pilot, which takes place at the moment of apocalypse. Lawrence will play Francis, "a wealthy mysterious woman who resides in Bel Air"; with Howard as McCormack, "a tall foul-mouthed, sarcastic and sardonic Irishman"; Kebbel as Tammy, "a sexy, professional woman"; and Ortiz was Marly Gonzalez, "a young police officer." Jamie Kennedy, Adrian Pasdar and Aldis Hodge also star in the project, from Georgeville Television. (Deadline.com)
BLOOD & ICE (Cinemax, New!) - Ole Christian Madsen ("Banshee") is developing a new drama at the pay channel about "the near-future race to control the vast natural resources hiding in the Arctic. A series of brutal murders shatters the provincial calm of Greenland as Chinese, Americans and Russians start pouring into the region." Madsen and Anders Thomas Jensen are co-writing the hour from a story they developed with Christian Muff. Madsen and Jensen then will executive produce for Creative Alliance with Muff as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
BOSCH (Amazon; W: Eric Overmeyer & Michael Connelly; D: TBA) - Amy Price-Francis ("The Cleaner") is set to star opposite Titus Welliver in the drama pilot, about Harry Bosch (Welliver), a veteran police homicide detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. She'll play Sunny "Money" Chander, "an attractive and exceptionally good lawyer representing Rosa Flores, whose husband Roberto, a suspected serial killer, was killed four years ago by Bosch, and Chandler's job is to destroy Bosch in court." Fabrik Entertainment's Henrik Bastin and Mikkel Bondesen also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO DIVORCE (Bravo/UCP; W: Marti Noxon; D: TBA) - Beau Garrett ("Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior") has been cast in the drama pilot, about Abby (Lisa Edelstein), the famous author of a best-selling self-help book series who is hiding the fact that she's separated from her husband as she starts to navigate her life as a single woman in her early 40s in Los Angeles. She'll play her friend Phoebe, "a former model and recent divorcee that is still close to her ex." The project is based on the book series by Vicki Iovine. (Deadline.com)
LITTLE MOM (CBS, New!) - Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky ("Smash") have landed a put pilot commitment from the Eye for a single-camera comedy about "three moms who live in a Brooklyn high-rise and how they help each other stay sane (or try to) as they juggle their friendships, marriages and kids." The project is based on the Israeli series of the same name from Yoav Gross, Lital Schwartz, Shay Ben-Atar and Liat Shavit. Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions is behind the half-hour with Greg Berlanti executive producing and Melissa Kellner Berman serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
MY PROBLEM WITH WOMEN (ABC, New!) - Jason Gann ("Wilfred") is developing a domestic take on Frank Perez Garland, Christian Buckley and Paul Vegae's Peruvian series of the same name, about "the adventures of a thirtysomething bachelor who begins seeing a therapist in an attempt to understand why all of his romantic relationships fail." Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory are also on board to serve as co-showrunners of the ABC Studios-based project with Chris Philip also as an executive producer and Jay Weisleder as a co-executive producer. Sierra/Engine Television and Frecuencia Latina International are likewise co-producing. (Deadline.com)
SALEM (WGN/Fox 21; W: Adam Simon & Brannon Braga; D: Richard Shepard) - Ashley Madekwe ("Revenge") is the first to be cast in the upcoming drama, which explores what really fueled the town's infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark, supernatural truth hiding behind the veil of this infamous period in American history. She's on board as Tituba, "Salem's most powerful witch Mary Sibley's exotic and mysterious right hand and helper who hasn't aged in the ten years she has been apart from her master." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED KEVIN HART PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan ("Community") have scored a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a multi-camera comedy billed as "a candid look at the post-divorce life of a couple trying to forge a friendship for the sake of their kids, despite differences." The 20th Century Fox Television-based project is based on the stand-up of comedian Kevin Hart, who is expected to have a recurring role if the series goes forward. Hart, his manager Dave Becky, Goldman and Donovan are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - WGN America has scored the off-network rights to Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution's "Person of Interest" in a deal valued in the $1.1-1.5 million range per episode (Deadline.com); Relativity Television, Georgeville Television and Bradley Cooper are developing a small screen take on the actor's 2011 film "Limitless," which also starred Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish (Deadline.com); National Geographic Channel is reportedly moving forward with a TV series based on the 2012 Navy SEAL feature "Act of Valor" spearheaded by Erik Jendresen (Deadline.com); Jordin Sparks will guest on "CSI" as "a high school teacher who somehow finds herself scared shizzleless and covered in blood in a hotel room crime scene" (PerezHilton.com);
