"Frankenfood" features local amateur food innovators competing head-to-head in order to get their unexpected food concoctions onto the menu of a popular local restaurant, win a cash prize and possibly create the next big food craze. Whether it's an old family recipe or a tried-and-true hangover remedy, "Frankenfood" will bring to light some of the most mouth watering and sometimes stomach churning combinations ever conceived. The series is hosted by superstar executive chef Josh Capon (Burger & Barrel, Lure Fishbar) and is joined by regular series judge Cheesesteak impresario Tony Luke Jr. along with a rotating panel of culinary experts, chefs and restaurant owners. The series will debut on Spike TV in 2014.
"Frankenfood" is produced for Spike TV by Sharp Entertainment. Sharp's Bob Larson and Matt Sharp serve as executive producers. Jeff Savaiano is Spike TV's executive in charge of production.
