CEELO GREEN, ELLIE GOULDING AND ROBIN THICKE TO PERFORM ON "THE VOICE"
Green and Goulding Take the Stage Tuesday (Nov. 26) While Thicke Appears on Monday (Nov. 25) in Live Episodes of NBC's Emmy Award-Winning Series
UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Nov. 22, 2013 - Coach CeeLo Green and British pop star Ellie Goulding will appear on the Tuesday, Nov. 26 (9 p.m. ET/PT) live telecast of the Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice." Musical sensation Robin Thicke will appear on the Monday, Nov. 25 (8 p.m.) episode.
Green will sing "Amy" from the Goodie Mob's latest album, "Age Against the Machine." Goulding will perform the single "Burn" from her album "Halcyon Days." Thicke will sing "Feel Good" from his best-selling album "Blurred Lines."
Green is a five-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-producer, television personality, actor, entrepreneur, and pop culture and fashion icon. In 2001, he received five Grammy nominations for his worldwide hit "Forget You," and a win for best urban/alternative performance. The single is certified gold in the United States and Denmark and achieved platinum status around the world.
In August, as part of the hip-hop group Goodie Mob, Green released "Age Against the Machine." Green plans on releasing the new solo album "Girl Power" in 2014. In October 2012 Green released his Christmas album "CeeLo's Magic Moment," which featured the single "All I Need Is Love," with contributions from the Muppets.
Brit pop star Goulding is a favorite both across the Pond and in the States. Her first album, "Lights," was released in 2010 and immediately drew attention from critics while debuting at No. 1 on the U.K. Albums chart. When released in the U.S. as a single in 2011, "Lights" would eventually climb to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In 2012 Goulding released "Halcyon," which debuted at No. 2 in the U.K. and No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart. That was followed this summer by "Halcyon Days," a special edition that includes 10 new tracks in addition to the deluxe album "Halcyon." Singles "Anything Could Happen" and the top-10 song "I Need Your Love" have become major hits.
Goulding has also recently announced that she will headline a North American tour in the spring.
Thicke is one of the most respected singer-songwriters in soul and R&B music today. He recently released his sixth studio album, "Blurred Lines," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. The single of the same name stood for 12 weeks as No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and has sold more than 10 million units.
With his second single, "Give It 2 U," already climbing the charts as well, Thicke recently announced an upcoming North American tour that will kick off in February.
"The Voice" has led NBC to consistent Monday and Tuesday wins among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 so far this season. NBC has taken every Monday but one among those networks so far this season and remained undefeated thus far on Tuesday nights. Through the opening seven weeks of the season, the Monday edition of "The Voice" has averaged a 5.2 rating, 14 share in adults 18-49 and 15.3 million viewers overall, making it the #4 primetime series overall on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 and the #1 unscripted series.
"The Voice" is a presentation of Mark Burnett's One Three Inc., Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who executive produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.
