--"Cars and Coffee" Programming Block Features the Best of Velocity Programming Every Morning from 6-9 AM ET --
(Silver Spring, Md.) - Velocity, the fastest growing cable network among men 18-49, is bringing viewers more of the automotive programming they love, earlier in the morning, with the all-new programming block "Cars and Coffee". Every weekday start your day with your favorite cup of coffee and Velocity from 6 - 9 AM ET as "Cars and Coffee" features the best episodes of top-rated Velocity series including TECH TOYS, CHASING CLASSIC CARS and WHAT'S MY CAR WORTH?
Cars and coffee is a longstanding tradition throughout cities, towns and rural areas of the United States. Mainly held on the weekend, car enthusiasts gather in the mornings at their favorite coffeehouses and diners to sip coffee, swap stories and show off their prized automotive possessions. Now, Velocity's "Cars and Coffee" brings that same tradition to the network so car enthusiasts can enjoy that atmosphere every day of the week.
"Velocity is the first network targeting upscale men. They consistently tune into our network for a genre-automotive-that has largely been neglected by networks in the last few years. 'Cars and Coffee' allows Velocity to give audiences more of what they crave, and to deliver it in the morning to help get their day started," said Bob Scanlon, general manager of Velocity.
"Cars and Coffee" starts at 6 AM every Monday through Friday with TECH TOYS, a series that takes viewers all over the world in search of the coolest, hippest gear for guys. From private jets and helicopters to limited-edition fast cars and the latest motorcycles, TECH TOYS features the cutting-edge technology, automotive sensibility and innovators that men enjoy watching.
At 7 AM, "Cars and Coffee" presents the best episodes of WHAT'S MY CAR WORTH?, a series that helps classic car lovers properly value their vehicles. Many think their cars are priceless but on WHAT'S MY CAR WORTH? collector car experts Bill Stephens and Keith Martin of Sports Car Market Magazine look under the hood and beyond the chrome to assess the true market value of classic cars. Stephens and Martin also challenge car owners to compete to see who knows the true value of their vehicles.
"Cars and Coffee" wraps up the morning at 8 AM with CHASING CLASSIC CARS. Velocity's signature series, finds collector car archeologist Wayne Carini pursuing one-of-a-kind autos in secret stashes-homes, garages and barns-throughout America. Wayne is also meeting with some of the hobby's most respected collectors, restorers and artisans to bring viewers deeper into the elite inner circle of the classic car expert.
"Cars and Coffee" airs Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 9 AM only on Velocity.
