NEW CAST ADDED TO ROBERT RODRIGUEZ'S HIGHLY-ANTICIPATED "FROM DUSK TILL DAWN: THE SERIES" INCLUDING ADRIANNE PALICKI, JAKE BUSEY AND LANE GARRISON

El Rey Network to Debut Original Series Q1 2014

New York and Austin, TX - December 16, 2013 - Additional castmembers have joined the Austin-based production of the highly-anticipated, "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series," premiering in Q1 2014 on El Rey Network, the new 24-hour English-language cable network. Produced in association with FactoryMade Ventures and created and executive produced by network founder and filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, the supernatural crime saga (based on the cult classic film of the same name) will feature Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) in the newly-created role of Vanessa Styles; Jake Busey (Starship Troopers, Enemy of the State, Identity) as Professor Aiden Tanner; and Lane Garrison (Bonnie & Clyde, Prison Break) as Pete, a character portrayed by John Hawkes in the original film. The 10-episode series will serve as the first scripted original to air on the network which will be available nationally beginning the week of December 15, 2013.

Adrianne Palicki portrays Vanessa Styles, a woman from Seth Gecko's past. Lane Garrison plays Pete, the clerk at Benny's World of Liquor which the Gecko brothers take over in the pilot; and Jake Busey portrays Professor Aiden Tanner, an eccentric intellectual obsessed with the Mesoamerican mythology behind the vampires.

Born and raised in Ohio, Adrianne Palicki made the move to Los Angeles after choosing to pursue an acting career. Palicki's first role was in director John Woo's television remake of the classic program Lost in Space, where she played Judy Robinson. She soon began landing roles on television shows such as North Shore, CSI, Smallville, Supernatural and South Beach. Palicki was a series regular Tyra Collette, on the first three seasons of NBC's critically-acclaimed drama Friday Night Lights, returning for the final two episodes of the series in 2011. Her feature film roles include Popstar with Aaron Carter and more recently she was featured in the Rob Reiner film, Rumor Has It. She also co-starred in the film G.I. Joe: Retaliation, in the lead role of Lady Jaye.

Jake Busey made his motion picture debut in Straight Time alongside his father Gary Busey and Dustin Hoffman. However it was his break-through starring role in Motorcycle Gang for Showtime that launched his career. Jake then went on to star in such film favorites as Robert Zemekis' Contact with Jodie Foster, Paul Verhoven's Starship Troopers and Peter Jackson's The Frighteners among many others. Busey also has numerous television appearances under his belt and is currently developing a feature with his dad, Gary.

Lane Garrison most recently starred in the miniseries Bonnie & Clyde which simultaneously aired on Lifetime, A&E and History. He has also wrapped production in the lead role of Randy opposite Kristen Stewart in Peter Sattler's Camp X-Ray. Garrison also starred in FOX series, Prison Break as Tweener, and was noted for his performance as Donnie in the Paramount film Shooter opposite Mark Wahlberg. He has appeared in several movies including Quality of Life and Crazy.

Busey, Palicki and Garrison join the previously announced cast that includes: Wilmer Valderrama (That '70s Show, To Whom It May Concern) as enigmatic crime lord Carlos, D.J. Cotrona (Dear John, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) who plays Seth Gecko; Zane Holtz (Holes, The Perks of Being a Wallflower) as Richie Gecko; Jesse Garcia (Quinceañera, Sons of Anarchy) who plays Texas Ranger Freddie Gonzalez, a new character created for the series; Don Johnson (Django Unchained, Nash Bridges) who joins in a recurring role as Sheriff Earl McGraw; Robert Patrick (Terminator 2: Judgment Day, The X-Files) as Jacob Fuller; Madison Davenport (Save Me, Shameless) as Kate Fuller; Brandon Soo Hoo (Tropic Thunder, Ender's Game, Incredible Crew) as Scott Fuller and Eiza González (Lola: Érase Una Vez) as Santánico Pandemonium.

Based on the thrill-ride film, "From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" is a supernatural crime saga centered around bank robber, Seth Gecko (Cotrona) and his violent, unpredictable brother, Richard "Richie" Gecko (Holtz), who are wanted by the FBI and Texas Rangers Earl McGraw (Johnson) and Freddie Gonzalez (Garcia) after a bank heist left several people dead. While on the run to Mexico, Seth and Richie encounter former minister Jacob Fuller (Patrick) and his family, whom they take hostage. Using the family RV to cross the border, chaos ensues when the group detours to a strip club that is populated by vampires. They are forced to fight until dawn in order to get out alive. The series deepens the tone of the film, adds new characters and backstories and expands the Mesoamerican mythology behind the creatures inside the club.

"From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series" is an El Rey Network production in association with FactoryMade Ventures. Executive producers are Robert Rodriguez, Carlos Coto (who is also showrunner) and FactoryMade Ventures and El Rey Network co-founders John Fogelman and Cristina Patwa. Diego Gutierrez is writer and co-executive producer. Robert Rodriguez will direct the first two installments. Miramax, producing studio and distributor of the original film, is distributing the series internationally in all territories with the exception of Canada, China, India and UK.
