New 12-Episode Series Slated to Premiere in March 2014
NEW YORK - December 17, 2013 - Bravo Media continues to flip the cameras on TV viewers with a full series order of "The People's Couch," scheduled to premiere in March 2014. The 12-episode pickup is a result of Bravo's successful three-episode run in October 2013. Based on the hit UK show "Gogglebox," the series is part of an international phenomenon with new series being produced across the world in China, Ukraine and Denmark, with additional deals in France, Spain, Canada and Germany.
"The People's Couch" enters the living rooms of households and films real people watching and commenting on popular shows and news from the past week. The half-hour, unscripted series delivers the buzziest water-cooler moments of the television season by showcasing avid TV watchers in their homes, as they laugh, cry, talk, gasp, and scream at their TVs. Each diverse group of viewers will bring their hilarious, unique commentary about TV's hottest moments to the small screen.
"The People's Couch" is produced by Studio Lambert and All3Media America with Executive Producers: Stephen Lambert, Eli Holzman and Tania Alexander.
