FIVE-TIME GOLDEN GLOBE(R) AND TWO-TIME EMMY(R) NOMINEE STEFANIE POWERS PREDICTS A PROPOSAL WHEN SHE STARS WITH RACHEL BOSTON AND KIRBY MORROW IN "A RING BY SPRING," A HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL MOVIE WORLD PREMIERE, MARCH 8

One woman's unexpected race to the altar teaches her a whole new meaning to marriage when Rachel Boston ("Witches of East End") and Kirby Morrow ("Lego Star Wars"), star alongside five-time Golden Globe(R) and two-time Emmy(R) nominated actress Stefanie Powers ("Hart to Hart") in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie, "A Ring By Spring," premiering Saturday, March 8 (7p.m. ET/PT, 6C).The film, also starring Chris Jacot ("Eureka"), Ali Liebert ("Tom Dick & Harriet") and Chad Krowchuk ("Man of Steel"), follows a fiercely independent single woman who is forced to consider marrying her not-so-perfect boyfriend when a gypsy fortuneteller, played by Powers, convinces her she must be engaged by the spring or risk a lifetime alone.

Business consultant Caryn Briggs (Boston) is still single at 30, but is in no rush to wed. She's always been skeptical about marriage, thinking the commitment would mean throwing away her future. She has let a string of steady boyfriends get away in favor of her own freedom. When she attends a fundraising event with friends Gregg (Krowchuk) and Stephanie (Liebert), she playfully agrees to have her fortune read at a charity booth run by soothsayer Madame Rue (Powers), who ominously predicts Caryn will have an engagement ring by spring - or she'll never marry. Caryn doesn't give much thought to Madame Rue's fortune as she starts a new job with friendly, laid-back boss Tom Halsey (Morrow), with whom she has a lot in common. But when Stephanie and Gregg's fortunes come true, Caryn worries she might be closer to a ring than she thought - from her uptight boyfriend, Bryce (Jacot).

With Caryn suddenly very nervous about an impending proposal, Bryce shocks her when he breaks up with her instead, claiming she isn't marriage material. Finally faced with the truth, Caryn must admit to herself she needs to get over her fear of lifelong commitment. As she forces another try with Bryce, she also forges a friendship with Tom, whose growing feelings for her are no secret. With spring approaching fast and no ring in sight, Caryn wonders if Madame Rue meant to doom her to a lifetime alone and must learn that the true sacrifice isn't getting hitched - but giving up on a real, lasting love.

"A Ring By Spring," is an Ring Productions Inc. production. Tim Johnson and Jean Abounader are the executive producers. Oliver De Caigny is the producer. Kristoffer Tabori directs from a script by J.B. White.
