ABC'S "JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" TRAVELS TO THE LONE STAR STATE FOR FIVE ORIGINAL SHOWS STARTING MONDAY, MARCH 10 IN AUSTIN, TEXAS

Los Angeles, CA - For the first time since its move to the 11:35 p.m./10:35 p.m., CT time slot, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live will hit the road -- traveling to Austin, Texas. The show's week-long trip to the state's capital is timed with the 28th annual South by Southwest(R) (SXSW(R)) Festival -- a unique convergence of original music, independent films and emerging technologies.

Jimmy Kimmel Live will broadcast five original shows from The Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Center for the Performing Arts overlooking downtown Austin, Auditorium Shores and Lady Bird Lake. Jimmy will welcome celebrity guests, showcase musical performances and shoot comedy segments around Texas and at SXSW.

Jimmy Kimmel on traveling the show to Texas said, "Austin is one of my favorite cities and there is no place more fun than SXSW. I can't wait for March 10th. I'll be the guy covered in BBQ sauce."

In November 2012, Jimmy Kimmel Live spent a memorable week in Brooklyn, NY with guests Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, Tracy Morgan, Kelly Ripa, Howard Stern, Chris Rock and David Letterman plus musical guests Alicia Keys, Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Vampire Weekend and the Avett Brothers with the Brooklyn Philharmonic. The result was JKL's 2nd-most-watched week in its nearly 11 year history.

JKL also went on the road in 2006 when the show originated from the famous GEM Theater in Detroit during the week leading up to Super Bowl XL.

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format. Jimmy Kimmel and Jill Leiderman serve as executive producers. Jason Schrift, Douglas DeLuca and Erin Irwin serve as co-executive producers. Emmy Award-winning "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is shot live in front of a studio audience and produced by Jackhole Industries in association with ABC Studios. (CLOSED- CAPTIONED)
