LOS ANGELES, CA - (February 18, 2014) - SHOWTIME has picked up brand new seasons of its critically-acclaimed hit drama SHAMELESS and comedy series HOUSE OF LIES with a 12-episode order for each to air in 2015. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks Inc., who has renewed the network's full winter Sunday night line-up. As previously announced, EPISODES was also renewed for a fourth season. Production for the new seasons of all three series will kick-off in Los Angeles later this year. SHAMELESS, HOUSE OF LIES and EPISODES currently air on Sunday nights starting at 9 p.m. only on SHOWTIME.
SHAMELESS continues to grow in its fourth season, currently pacing as its highest-rated season yet. SHAMELESS is averaging 5.5 million weekly viewers across platforms, up eight percent versus its prior season, and remains one of the top two rated series on premium this winter. HOUSE OF LIES is averaging three million viewers per week across platforms, on par with its second season. The series drew its highest-rated telecast so far this season last week and outperformed all premium competitors in the time period.
SHAMELESS stars Academy Award(R) nominee William H. Macy and Golden Globe(R) nominee Emmy Rossum, along with Ethan Cutkosky, Emma Greenwell, Shanola Hampton, Steve Howey, Emma Kenney, Cameron Monaghan, Jeremy Allen White, Noel Fisher, Jake McDorman, and special guest star Joan Cusack. Based on the long-running hit U.K. series, SHAMELESS is executive produced by Emmy(R) Award-winning television and film producer John Wells, Andrew Stearn, Mark Mylod and Nancy Pimental. Wells developed the series for American television. Paul Abbott serves as executive consultant. The last few episode have featured powerhouse performances by Emmy Rossum, Jeremy Allen White and William H. Macy. In the aftermath of Liam's accident, Fiona (Rossum) landed in county jail and is out on bail, while Lip (White) assumed the de facto parental role for the Gallagher family. Meanwhile, after almost being killed by sitting in a sweat lodge, Frank (Macy) received some sobering news about his declining health. With tragic events spiraling out of control, will Fiona find a way to keep her family together? Or is this the beginning of the end for the Gallagher clan? SHAMELESS is produced by Bonanza Productions, Inc. in association with John Wells Productions and Warner Bros. Television. HOUSE OF LIES is the edgy, provocative hit SHOWTIME comedy series starring Don Cheadle in his twice Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning role as elite consultant Marty Kaan, a man with a single-minded pursuit: power. This quest is eternally complicated at work by his relationships with his "Pod" of co-workers: sexy, whip-smart co-conspirator Jeannie (Kristen Bell) and underlings Clyde (Ben Schwartz) and Doug (Josh Lawson). At home, he's forced to juggle unwanted advice from his psychoanalyst father Jeremiah (Emmy winner Glynn Turman), and drama from his demented ex-wife Monica (Dawn Olivieri), all while being a loving father to his gender-fluid teenage son Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.). Season three guest stars include Grammy(R) Award winner T.I. (American Gangster, Identity Thief), Mekhi Phifer (Lie to Me, ER), Eliza Coupe (Happy Endings, Scrubs) and Daniel Stern (Home Alone, The Wonder Years). Griffin Dunne ("The Rainmaker"), Bess Armstrong ("Julianne") and Jenny Slate ("Sarah") also returned this season as guest stars.
