ESPN's 25th MLB Season: Early Monday Night Baseball & Wednesday Night Baseball Game Selections

ESPN's 25th Major League Baseball season will include appearances from several top teams on Monday Night Baseball and Wednesday Night Baseball to start the year. Monday Night Baseball's season will begin on Opening Day - Monday, March 31 - when the Colorado Rockies and Troy Tulowitzki visit the Miami Marlins and Giancarlo Stanton at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. On April 7, the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox and David Ortiz will host the Texas Rangers and Prince Fielder at 7 p.m.
Additionally, a doubleheader on Monday, April 14, will match the Atlanta Braves and Freddie Freeman against the Philadelphia Phillies and Ryan Howard at 7 p.m., followed by the Oakland Athletics and Yoenis Cespedes visiting the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Mike Trout at 10 p.m.
ESPN's early-season Wednesday Night Baseball schedule will begin on Wednesday, April 2, when the Rangers and Fielder host the Phillies and Howard on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. On April 9, the Houston Astros and Jose Altuve will visit the Toronto Blue Jays and Jose Reyes at 7 p.m. on ESPN2.
