AN AMERICAN EDUCATION - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
British transplant Alfie Wickers (Jack Whitehall) looks more like one of his motley class of high school students than their teacher. His unorthodox approach and enthusiastic style makes him a favorite of the diverse student body, but the target of the tough Vice Principal Rita Gomez (Rosie Perez).
With test scores hurting at this San Diego school, they are fighting for state funds, and Gomez convinces the administration to replace music classes with a mandatory test prep class, drafting Alfie to teach it. Alfie springs into action to save the endangered music program - and his free period. Secretly, he has another agenda: to impress the beautiful and altruistic chemistry teacher, Sarah (Brittany Snow).
Using begging, cajoling, and hopelessly inept flirting, Alfie gets Vice Principal Gomez to allow him to put on a talent-show-slash-fundraiser to keep music in the school. She secretly hopes his incompetence will get him fired. Alfie's group of barely talented performers will need a miracle to keep their music program - and save Alfie's job - in this fast-talking comedy based on the award-winning British hit show Bad Education.

BAMBI COTTAGES - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
It's 1976. After 19 years of marriage and 6 kids, Teddy and Cathleen's (Molly Shannon) lives are in a rut. But that was before a detour on their road trip brought them to the lakeside Bambi Cottages. Now, the Burkes are the proud owners of these 6 funky vacation cottages in New Hampshire.
Overworked and dangerously optimistic Teddy believes that this is his chance for happiness and quits his big city job without telling Cathleen. But running a business with family is anything but a vacation.
The 'staff' includes 7 year-old Phyllis who never speaks, 9 year-old Elliot who's gay but too young to know it, 12 year-old Wally who likes lighting matches a little too much, 14 year-old lazy Russell, 15 year-old Nathan who is way too agreeable, and 17 year-old Veronica, who's a pretty teenage girl with the personality of a cranky, middle aged woman.
The opening day of BAMBI COTTAGES does not go well. The slick brochures have overpromised and the family will have to pull together to keep their guests from leaving in this comedy based on creator Brian Gallivan's real life.

SHOW INFO
Andre 'Dre' Johnson (Anthony Anderson) is about to be promoted to Vice President of Relevant Advertising. He and his physician wife, Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross), are living the American dream: great careers, four beautiful kids, and a Colonial home in an upper middle class neighborhood. However, Dre starts to see his perfect life differently when he discovers that he's being promoted to "Urban" VP at his firm and in the same week, his son announces that he wants to have a Bar Mitzvah. All of a sudden it hits Dre: Has success brought too much assimilation? Is his family of out of touch with their own identity?
Dre's opinionated, old school father, Pops (Laurence Fishburne), and his liberal wife have very different opinions about how Dre should handle the promotion and Dre Jr.'s birthday request. But Dre has it all under control. In order to prove that he hasn't lost touch with his roots, he presents an extreme version of an "Urban" marketing campaign at work that raises more than a few eyebrows. He also decides to throw an African Rites of Passage ceremony for his mortified son.
Ultimately, Dre's family helps him realize that the best way to live is by embracing the new while honoring the past. He decides to throw his son a hip hop Bro Mitzvah and the successful event inspires him to create a multicultural ad campaign that wows everyone at the office.
Living the American dream isn't easy, but Dre is determined to find a way to hold onto his cultural identity while embracing a new future in this comedy that is written and loosely based on the life of Kenya Barris (The Game), and executive produced by Larry Wilmore (Bernie Mac).

SHOW INFO
Successful lawyer Nicole (Anna Camp) works at a law firm with her boyfriend Tim, who is about to be promoted to Partner. But when she gets the promotion, Tim is humiliated, and her love life plummets as fast as her paycheck went up.
Nicole was ready to cheer for Tim if the shoe was on the other foot, so what has gone wrong in this post-feminist world? Are seemingly modern relations as traditional as they've always been? Now, she is seriously considering letting go of all that she's worked for and giving up the Partnership to Tim to save their relationship.
The promotion celebration with her friends becomes a 'Tim-tervention.' They offer all sorts of bad advice and get into the details of their own misguided behavior involving lost condoms, three-ways, and the bad boyfriend hall of shame. There is no minutia too small to spend hours discussing. In the past, she's been the one who has always been giving her friends good advice; now she has a revelation: she's just as screwed up as they are. Can she really be with a man who doesn't want her to succeed? We'll see.
From the creator of Awkward, a comedy series that explores the idiosyncrasies of dating, sex, and love through a group of romantically challenged friends as they navigate the brutal singles landscape of Los Angeles in a time when everyone is more confused about relationships than ever.

FRESH OFF THE BOAT - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
It's the 90s and 12-year-old hip-hop loving Eddie just moved to suburban Orlando with his family. Before this, his immigrant family settled easily into Washington DC's Chinatown. But here, it is pure culture shock for them. Orlando doesn't have a Chinatown... unless you count the Huang house.
The popular kids at Eddie's junior high school are impressed by his love of hip-hop, but banish him from their table when he opens up his 'fragrant' traditional Chinese lunch in the middle of the crowded cafeteria. It is almost as bad for his immigrant mother, Jessica (Constance Wu), who has never seen the inside of a traditional American supermarket and can't understand the fast-talking, rollerblading neighbor moms. Plus, the Florida humidity is a disaster for her hair.
His immigrant dad, Louis (Randall Park) is the complete opposite. He loves all things American and proudly embraces his patriotism with his Old West themed American steakhouse complete with wagon wheel tables. He's determined to bring in more customers and make his restaurant a success so his family can prosper and be happy in this country.
His Grandma Huang is in her own world, cracking up while she watches the shopping networks with her new credit card in hand. Although she speaks no English, she is inexplicably tickled to death by Joan Rivers.
Eddie has to watch out for his 9-year-old brother Gary, the suck-up of the family, who is always ready to tell on his brothers every chance he gets. It is Eddie's 11-year-old brother, Freddy, who is fitting in best. He scored a girlfriend the first day of school while Eddie, trying to maintain some street cred, ended up in the Principal's office for fighting the school's other least popular kid.
Through it all, they have each other's backs and their American Dream. Based on chef Eddie Huang's memoir Fresh Off the Boat.

GALAVANT - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
Dan Fogelman (Crazy, Stupid, Love; Tangled; Cars) teams up with Broadway and Hollywood's award-winning musical team - composer Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid; Beauty and the Beast) and lyricist Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid; Tangled) - for a musical comedy fairytale of epic proportions.
Once upon a time, the dashing hero Galavant (Joshua Sasse) was a slayer of dragons, protector of the innocent, and defender of the less fortunate. But one day, the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson) fell for Galavant's ladylove Madalena and kidnapped her. On Madalena and King Richard's wedding day, Galavant courageously fought his way back to the palace to rescue his love. And while this is where most fairytales end happily ever after, it's where the tale of GALAVANT truly begins. Madalena stuns Galavant when she announces that she chooses fame, fortune, and the crown over Galavant and breaks his heart.
Five years later we rejoin Galavant, heartbroken and drowning his sorrows in drink. Having given up on heroics, he's a bit out of shape and flat broke. But his faithful squire Sid sees a momentous opportunity when Princess Isabella of Valencia arrives in search of "The Great Galavant." She asks him to save her kingdom from its evil invader... none other than King Richard himself. Galavant must get back in the saddle, literally and figuratively, to take revenge on his nemesis, win back Madalena, and restore his "happily ever after." But our fallen hero doesn't realize that Isabella might not be revealing the whole story...
Our hero's quest for redemption will have many twists and turns along the way. And as one of the songs from Menken and Slater proclaims: "Huzzah And Tally-Ho! Sit Back And Here We Go!"

IRREVERSIBLE - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
Andy (David Schwimmer) and Sarah (Jessica Knappett) deal with all of the challenges of a middle class family, without accepting the fact that they ARE middle class. As far as they're concerned Andy is a novelist on the verge of becoming the next Philip Roth, only "more blunt," and Sarah, a morning show host on a second rate channel, is on the path to becoming the next Diane Sawyer - "only prettier."
Andy will never be Philip Roth. The closest Sarah will ever get to Sawyer is living in the same city as her...
They live in New York and struggle with the usual trials and tribulations of a young family (only they're not so young). We could describe them as extremely eccentric, somewhat spoiled, highly selfish, and pretty manipulative.
They have excellent values and are quick to defend them with confidence - often exposing their worst traits and biggest insecurities. Despite all of these qualities, they are exceptionally good people - in their own eyes, of course. In reality, they're a couple just trying to make it as parents, professionals and grown-ups.
IRREVERSIBLE is a semi-scripted comedy based on the hit Israeli series Bilti Hafich, and is written and directed by the original Israeli co-creator, Segahl Avin.

MANHATTAN LOVE STORY - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
Have you ever wondered what your date was really thinking?
This romantic comedy explores the differences between men and women by highlighting the disparities between what they say and what they really think throughout the course of a relationship, by exposing their unfiltered thoughts.
Southern girl, Dana (Analeigh Tipton), is new to the city and ready to make it big in the New York publishing world. On the outside, she is full of ambition, passion, and confidence. Inside her head, she doubts her outfit, hates her ankles, and is sure she's said and done exactly the wrong thing in every situation.
In contrast to Dana's unsettled life, she is temporarily staying with her college friend Amy (Jade Catta-Preta) and her husband David (Nicolas Wright), a seemingly perfect couple who set Dana up on a date with David's brother, Peter (Jake McDorman).
Like with Dana, we are privy to all of Peter's inner thoughts. We know how charming and suave he thinks he is on his first date with Dana... and how he is sure it is not his fault when she runs out of the restaurant crying after five minutes.
But with a little encouragement from their friends and family, Peter and Dana will try again. And again. And we will hear exactly what they are thinking every step of the way in this romantic comedy from Jeff Lowell (Drew Carey Show and Spin City).

SAINT FRANCIS - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
Francis Quinlan (Michael Imperioli) is a rock in the community with old-fashioned values and a no-nonsense style, just like the neighborhood bar he owns with his family.
This Long Island cop has been married for 19 years to Stephanie and has two kids, Jack and Kimberly. Since his father died, he's been taking care of his mother and picking up the slack for his single siblings, Tommy and Heather, who don't share his work ethic. Tommy is more interested in playing video games with his nephew than holding down a job or helping out. Francis even had to take on a partner, Peter, to run the bar.
29 year-old Heather, usually the slightly more responsible of the two siblings, announces she is pregnant. Francis hits the roof; he doesn't want Heather condemned for eternity and is determined to get her married before his mother finds out.

SELFIE - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
Eliza Dooley (Karen Gillan) has come a long way since her dorky junior high days. Thanks to the magic of laser hair removal, push-up bras and filters on photos-she is Instafamous with 143,000 followers. She shamelessly tweets about being pushed in a wheelchair through the airport because her 5-inch Louboutin shoes 'are a kind of disability.' Her nonstop selfies and posts raise her profile and rack up the 'likes.'
But one lonely day, she has a revelation: being friended is not the same as having friends. She enlists the help of marketing guru and buttoned up co-worker, Henry, to 'rebrand' herself and her reputation. In return, Eliza flirtatiously offers to do "almost anything" but Henry just blushes and insists their relationship is strictly business.
Eliza fails her first test when Henry catches her playing Candy Crush on her phone during a wedding ceremony-with the sound on. Listening to the vows "gave her the feels" and she just needed an escape. Her disregard for his rules pushes Henry to quit, but Eliza charms him into giving her another chance. Besides, people are beginning to notice the sparks between them.
Loosely based on My Fair Lady, Selfie explores the modern struggles of Eliza and Henry, as he tries to teach her how to live life offline- whether she 'likes' it or not-from writer/executive producer Emily Kapnek (Suburgatory).

THE WINKLERS - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
There's no one more loveable and caring than the famous Henry Winkler-played by Henry Winkler himself. He worries about his wife, Tita, and his children, Emily and Jonah, and his koi fish, especially Moishe. When his elderly chef is tired, Henry whips up lunch for the family. He even hides Easter eggs filled with money and candy for the construction workers who are renovating his house. Everyone is happier with a hug from Henry, except his son-in-law Jack.
Jack (Domenick Lombardozzi) and Emily (Eva Amurri Martino), the princess of the Winkler family, are an unlikely match. They met when Jack was the construction foreman for the Winkler renovation and stood up to Emily's demands to stop all work because it was too noisy. Henry fell in love with him and knew his daughter would too. Now, Jack and Emily are married with a baby on the way.
Being part of the Winkler Family is not easy for blue-collar Jack who shies away from open displays of emotion and the Beverly Hills lifestyle. He wants to earn everything he has, so the couple is living in a 1-room dump on her pre-school teacher's salary and his construction jobs.
When Henry and Tita need to be in New York for a year, it only makes sense for Jack and Emily to housesit. But, after a change in plan, the Winkler parents are back a lot earlier than expected, and they have their daughter and son-in-law right where they want them... at home! Now, a culture clash between Jack's world and Henry's will come to a head in this comedy from Phil Rosenthal (Everybody Loves Raymond).

UNTITLED KEVIN HART PROJECT - HALF HOUR
COMEDY
SHOW INFO
Based on the family life, marriage and divorce of actor/comedian Kevin Hart, writers Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan (Community, Scrubs, Family Guy) explore the question: "Can a man and woman ever truly be friends... after they're divorced?"
Derek (Romany Malco) and Lorraine (Bresha Webb) were high school sweethearts who married and started a family right away (they literally got married at their graduation party). Like any good divorced couple, they know how to push each other's buttons, especially as they start dating other people. Their two kids, 6-year-old Ruben and 11-year-old Nicole, are adjusting just fine to joint custody and to Derek's new girlfriend, Mircea (Amber Stevens). She's an exotic beauty who is smart enough to go with the flow when it comes to Lorraine... at least most of the time.
But when Mircea teaches Derek's daughter how to braid her own hair, Lorraine is furious about losing a precious "mommy moment." In retaliation, she has her new boyfriend teach their son how to ride a bike. Derek can't believe that Lorraine manufactured a special "daddy moment" specifically so that he would miss it. He's all set for a confrontation with her new young boyfriend Chip (Jayson Blair), only to discover that he actually likes the guy. Not only does he like Chip, but he provides Derek with some thoughtful insights about having a healthy relationship with Lorraine that's based on friendship.
Can Derek and Lorraine put their volatile past behind them and forge a friendship for the sake of their kids and their new significant others? They will certainly try.
