"Gruden's QB Camp: Johnny Manziel" Debuts Thursday, 7 p.m. ET
One-hour ESPN special airs same day as Texas A&M Pro Day
Gruden's QB Camp: Johnny Manziel, the first show in season five of Gruden's QB Camp series, debuts Thursday, March 27, at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Manziel, the 2012 Heisman Trophy-winning Texas A&M quarterback and projected first-round pick, participated in a one-on-one film session and on-field workout with Monday Night Football analyst Jon Gruden last month at ESPN's Wide World of Sports Complex outside Orlando.
The Manziel special is the first one-hour show dedicated to a quarterback in the QB Camp series; all other previous shows were 30 minutes. In all, nine quarterbacks from the 2014 NFL Draft class are participating in Gruden's QB Camp series in 2014. (Note: 30-minute versions of the Manziel special will re-air Thursday, April 3, 9 p.m.; and Tuesday, April 22, 5 p.m.; the one-hour show will re-air Saturday, April 26 on ABC, 4 p.m.) A special one-hour compilation show highlighting all the 2014 quarterbacks will debut Sunday, April 20 at 4 p.m. on ESPN. Additional episodes focused on each quarterback will air in April and May.
Also on Thursday, ESPN's Todd McShay, Bill Polian and Ed Werder will have live reports from Manziel's Texas A&M Pro Day in College Station, Texas, during NFL Insiders (3:30 p.m. ET), NFL Live (4 p.m.) and editions of SportsCenter.
