NAT GEO WILD RELEASES THE HOUNDS; GREENLIGHTS SECOND SEASON OF CESAR MILLAN SERIES, "CESAR 911"
Produced by ITV Studios America in Association with Leepson Bounds Entertainment, Series Captures Millan Restoring the Peace in Communities Terrorized by Unruly Dogs
(Washington, D.C. - April 9, 2014) Cesar Millan announced last night at a Los Angeles screening of his forthcoming special, Cesar Millan: Love My Pit Bull, that Nat Geo WILD has ordered a second season of his successful new series, Cesar 911 to air both in the US and internationally. On the heels of Nat Geo WILD's highest-rated and most-watched quarter in network history, the first season of Cesar 911 was a ratings success, becoming the second-highest-rated series in WILD history.
Produced by ITV Studios America ("Hell's Kitchen," "Four Weddings") in association with Leepson Bounds Entertainment, Cesar 911 brings Millan's unmatched canine abilities to communities terrorized by unruly hounds.
Each week on Cesar 911, Millan travels to a new neighborhood in desperate need of his help. He is summoned by co-workers, relatives, friends and neighbors who "blow the whistle" on a four-legged menace that has turned their lives upside down. Cesar witnesses firsthand how the dogs wreak havoc on the community sidewalks, dog parks ... even restaurants and offices. Cesar uses his unparalleled expertise to bring balance to the dogs and the community.
"I am very happy with the public's positive response to season one of Cesar 911," said Millan. "I am looking forward to continuing my partnership with Nat Geo WILD and am excited to have the chance to help more friends, neighbors and community members in the next season of the show!"
"Cesar 911 is a clear breakout series for Nat Geo WILD that has reinvigorated Cesar's loyal and rapidly growing fan base," said Executive Vice President and General Manager Geoff Daniels. "Our audience wants more Cesar, and we are happy to deliver."
Production on season two is set to begin this spring.
Cesar 911 is produced for Nat Geo WILD by ITV Studios America in association with Leepson Bounds Entertainment. Executive producers are Cesar Millan, David Leepson and Jordan Roberts. For Nat Geo WILD, executive producer and senior vice president of development and production is Janet Han Vissering and executive vice president and general manager is Geoff Daniels.
