Myles Turner, No. 2 Basketball Recruit, to Announce College Selection on ESPNU
Myles Turner, No. 2 in the ESPN 100, will announce his college selection during ESPNU's Recruiting Nation: Announcement Special on Wednesday, April 30, at 4 p.m. ET. The 7'0'' center from Bedford, Texas, is expected to choose between Duke, Kansas, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Southern Methodist, Texas and Texas A&M. Recruiting director Paul Biancardi, recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton and host Matt Schick will anchor the telecast.
Turner is a five-star recruit from Trinity High School in Texas. He is a McDonald's All-American and was selected to play in the 2014 Jordan Brand Classic. Additional information on Turner can be found via his ESPN.com Recruiting Nation page.
"Myles Turner can impact the game with his shot altering and blocking ability. His timing is excellent and his wing span is enormous," explains Biancardi. "Offensively, it's his face-up game, with range that extends out to the arc, that produces his scoring. His low post game and his overall body strength are under construction. However, Turner has ascended among the nation's best. He is an elite prospect who oozes with potential and even is better young man."
Biancardi, Hamilton and Schick will discuss Turner's decision and its impact on college basketball's top programs throughout the 30-minute special. After the show, ESPN.com's Recruiting Nation will have further analysis on Turner's decision and updated class rankings.
