CRACK IN THE SKY (Sundance, New!) - E. Max Frye (Where the Money Is) is developing a potential drama at the cable channel about "a Don Draper-type who falls asleep in 1962 and wakes up in 2012." Said effort is set up at Sony Pictures Television with Deborah Spera and Maria Grasso of One-Two Punch Productions also serving as executive producers and Marshall Persinger producing. (THR.com)

ODD COUPLE, THE (CBS/CTS; W: Joe Keenan & Matthew Perry; D: TBA) - Georgia King and Sarah Baker's roles will be recast on the midseason comedy, about an updated take on Neil Simon's classic play, about two mismatched roommates, the messy Oscar Madison (Matthew Perry) and the neat freak Felix Unger (Thomas Lennon). King played Katie, "a model who lives in Oscar and Felix's building"; while Baker played Oscar's assistant Sam, "who spends most of her work day on the phone apologizing to assorted high-and-mighty people who have been offended by Oscar's latest rant." Wendell Pierce and Lindsay Sloane also star. (Deadline.com)

AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Potential dramas "Ashland," "Raiders," "The Sparrow," "Untitled Dahvi Waller Project" and "White City" will all compete at part of AMC's annual series "bake-off" (Deadline.com); "The L Word" creator Ilene Chaiken has been tapped as showrunner of FOX's midseason drama "Empire" (Deadline.com); Marin Ireland will recur on "Girls" as "the rich, sexual, beautiful but cold Logan, a classmate of Hannah's (Lena Dunham) at the Iowa Writer's Workshop" (Deadline.com); and Shonda Rhimes has inked a massive four-year, eight-figure extension to her overall deal at ABC Studios, home to her trio of series "Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal" and newcomer "How to Get Away with Murder" (Deadline.com).
