FOX SPORTS LOADS BASES FOR 2014 MLB ALL-STAR GAME

Multiple FOX Sports Platforms Combine to Give Mid-Summer Classic Most Comprehensive Television Coverage Ever

New York - FOX Sports has been home to 15 Major League Baseball All-Star Games since broadcasting its first in 1997, and over the years has brought countless memorable moments into the homes of baseball fans across the country. This year, with the addition of FOX Sports 1, America's newest sports network, to platforms already including FOX, FOX Sports Regional Networks, FOX Deportes, FOXSports.com, FOX Sports GO and FOX Sports Radio, FOX Sports' coverage of the Mid-Summer Classic includes more than 25 hours of MLB original programming, more than ever before.

This season's MLB All-Star Game broadcast is the most technically advanced in history, continuing the network's 20-year tradition of offering its audiences the latest technical, graphic and audio innovations. Joe Buck, a seven-time Emmy Award winner, provides play-by-play for a record 16th All-Star Game, alongside analysts Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci, both calling their first. MLB on FOX insider and FOXSports.com senior baseball writer Ken Rosenthal and broadcaster Erin Andrews offer reports from the field. Reynolds and Verducci shared the honor for Outstanding Sports Personality - Studio Analyst this past spring. FOX Sports also took home Emmy Awards for the 2013 World Series (Outstanding Live Sports Special), the 2013 ALCS (Outstanding Playoff Coverage) and for MLB on FOX's Live Event Audio/Sound.

Game day coverage of MLB's 85th All-Star Game begins Tuesday, July 15 at 4:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1 with a special three-hour edition of AMERICA'S PREGAME before moving to the broadcast network at 7:30 PM ET. Pregame festivities on FOX are anchored for the first time by Kevin Burkhardt with analysis from Hall of Famer and five-time All-Star Frank Thomas and World Series Champion Gabe Kapler, also newcomers.

Now armed with FOX Sports 1, a national multi-sport channel, FOX Sports is able to cover the All-Star Game more thoroughly than ever before with special, expanded editions of MLB WHIPAROUND, AMERICA'S PREGAME (live from Minneapolis) and FOX SPORTS LIVE on Monday, July 14 and Tuesday, July 15. Show details and a full schedule of FOX Sports 1 All-Star Game programming can be found below.

In the run up to the game, the channel also re-airs two classic All-Star games from yesteryear: the 1999 game in Boston, noted for its salute to Hall of Famer Ted Williams and Pedro Martinez's record-setting MVP performance; and the 2001 game played in Seattle which saw Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. homer and take home MVP honors in his All-Star farewell. The two specials titled, ALL-STAR GLORY, feature commentary from FOX Sports anchor Ryan Field and former MLB outfielder Luis Gonzalez, a five-time All-Star and World Champion who played in both memorable games. On Saturday, July 12, FOX Sports 1 sandwiches MLB on FOX game action with the premiere of two one-hour All-Star game-related specials: MLB ALL-STAR GAME MAGIC, highlighting the top All-Star Game moments (2:30-3:30 PM ET) and MLB ALL-STAR GAME SNEAK PEEK, previewing this year's Mid-Summer Classic (7:00-8:00 PM ET), both produced by MLB Productions.

The 2014 MLB All-Star Game streams online for the first time on FOX Sports GO, the app that provides live streaming video of FOX Sports content at home or on the go, and FOXSportsGO.com (see details below), and airs in Spanish on FOX Deportes with Pablo Alsina and Jose Tolentino on the call.

In addition to the television screen, FOX Sports presents in-depth coverage from Target Field in Minneapolis online and over the radio. Rosenthal and FOXSports.com baseball writer Jon Paul Morosi lead the digital coverage with the latest information and in-depth features, while FOX Sports Radio's Steve Gorman SPORTS! is live from All-Star Fan Fest on Tuesday, July 15 from 3:00-6:00 PM ET.

Pete Macheska produces the 2014 MLB All-Star Game on FOX, and Bill Webb directs. Pregame coverage is produced by Bardia Shah-Rais and directed by Geordie Wimmer. Eric Shanks is President, COO and Executive Producer, and John Entz is Executive Vice President, Production & Executive Producer, FOX Sports.
