Show to include Hannah Storm, Bill Simmons, Jalen Rose, Michelle Beadle and others

Coverage of The 2014 ESPYS on Wednesday, July 16, will begin with The 2014 ESPYS Countdown Show presented by Capital One live from the red carpet from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. The countdown show, in its fifth year, will bring fans close to the action as presenters, nominees, celebrities and other athletes arrive for the highly-anticipated award show.

The program will be hosted by Hannah Storm with live updates from Michelle Beadle, Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose as well as celebrity and athlete interviews with Cari Champion, who will be on the red carpet with the "Kicks Cam." Highlights of The 2014 ESPYS Countdown Show, held outside Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles, include:

· Hannah Storm hosting from a spot positioned high above the red carpet

· Updates from Michelle Beadle, Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose in the middle of the action on the red carpet

· "Kicks Cam" with Cari Champion, looking at the best shoes walking the carpet

· New York Knicks Kid reporters giving their take on the event

· Celebrities and athletes will stop by the "360° Quicksilver Cam," with correspondent Michelle Marie and Nick Young of the Los Angeles Lakers, to show off their award show attire

· Chris Berman, celebrating 35 years with ESPN, will give his top 10 plays of the past 35 years

· Multiple winners will be announced and awards will be handed out

The ESPYS Experience, which will be held in the Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live, will have events and activations open to the public leading up to the show.

Following the red carpet countdown show, The 2014 ESPYS Presented by Capital One will be televised live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE beginning at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

The ESPYS

The ESPYS gather top celebrities from sports and entertainment to commemorate the past year in sports by recognizing major sports achievements, reliving unforgettable moments and saluting the leading performers and performances. The 2014 ESPYS marks the shows 22nd telecast and will recognize both sport-specific achievements, such as "Best MLB Player" and "Best WNBA Player," and best-in-sport winners, such as "Best Team" or "Best Female Athlete" that pit nominees from different sports against each other.
