Misty Copeland Returns to Guest-Judge Next Week
Tonight, after America's vote was revealed on SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, Jourdan Epstein, Emily James, Bridget Whitman, Teddy Coffey, Emilio Dosal and Stanley Glover were the three girls and three guys who received the fewest votes. The judges - Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and guest judge Misty Copeland - determined at the end of the show that Stanley Glover and Jourdan Epstein would be sent home. Also on tonight's show, A Great Big World performed their hit single, "Say Something," which took the country by storm after being featured during a performance by Amy Yakima and Robert Roldan last season, choreographed by Stacey Tookey.
The series recently celebrated seven Emmy Award nominations, including its fourth consecutive nomination for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program and Cat Deeley's fourth nod for Outstanding Host in a Reality or Reality-Competition Program. Additionally, Tabitha and Napoleon Dumo, Mandy Moore, Christopher Scott and Travis Wall all received nominations for Outstanding Choreography.
Next week, on Wednesday, July 23 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed), the competition continues when the Top 16 finalists - Brooklyn Fullmer and Casey Askew; Jacque LeWarne and Zack Everhart; Bridget Whitman and Emilio Dosal; Valerie Rockey and Ricky Ubeda; Carly Blaney and Serge Onik; Emily James and Teddy Coffey; Jessica Richens and Marcquet Hill; and Tanisha Belnap and Rudy Abreu - compete once again for America and the judges, including guest judge Misty Copeland, who returns to the judging desk. Tune in for a special appearance by Lucy Hale ("Pretty Little Liars"), who will perform her new single, "Lie a Little Better," from her debut album, "Road Between."
