NBC Sports Live Extra to Stream Matches
STAMFORD, Conn. - July 28, 2014 - NBC Sports Group presents coverage of five soccer matches this week beginning with Manchester United v. FC Internazionale in the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup tomorrow, Tuesday, July 29 at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN from FedEx Field in Landover, M.D.
International Champions Cup coverage continues with Liverpool, last season's Premier League runners-up, facing Serie A powerhouse AC Milan this Saturday, August 2 at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.
NBC Sports Group's lead Premier League play-by-play announcer Arlo White will be on site to call both matches joined by former U.S. Men's National Team midfielder Kyle Martino for Manchester United v. Inter and former Premier League footballer Robbie Mustoe for Liverpool v. AC Milan. Martino and Mustoe will offer "between the benches" analysis for their respective matches.
Coverage of each match begins with an on-site studio show prior to kickoff hosted by Rebecca Lowe. Mustoe will join Lowe for the on-site studio show for the Manchester United-Inter match.
NBC Sports Group also presents three MLS games this weekend, beginning with Philadelphia Union visiting reigning MLS Cup champions Sporting Kansas City led by U.S. Men's National Team members Matt Besler and Graham Zusi Friday at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Steve Cangialosi, announcer for the New York Red Bulls on the MSG Network, handles play-by-play for Sporting vs Philadelphia, joined by MSG Network analyst Shep Messing and CSN Mid-Atlantic anchor and reporter Rob Carlin.
MLS coverage continues on Saturday, August 2, at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC with LA Galaxy, led by forward Robbie Keane, hosting the Portland Timbers. Then, at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, it's San Jose Earthquakes hosting Seattle Sounders and USMNT captain Clint Dempsey at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., the first event held at the new facility.
NBC Sports Group's lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls both LA vs Portland and San Jose vs Seattle on Saturday, joined by former USMNT midfielder Kyle Martino and host Russ Thaler for LA-Portland at StubHub Center in Los Angles, Calif. Bolton Wanderers (U.K.'s Football League Championship) midfielder Stuart Holden, who played for the U.S. in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and CSN Bay Area host Jim Kozimor join Strong for San Jose-Seattle at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
